Im a 42 year old divorced guy who is wanting to move and a few years ago I traveled thru Guntersville and was impressed with the beauty of the Tn river .
So Im thinking about moving into your town, so what im asking now is hows the Social life in Gutersville?. Im self employed , single and looking for a good woman so would I be making a wise decision moving there? whats the pros and cons of Guntersville?

Guntersville is a beautiful place to raise a family, but for a single person Guntersville has nothing to offer. Guntersville don't have the nice restaurants and gathering places. Best of Luck!

Ditto on what Dee said. There isnt a lot of clubs or bars but when you get active in the community either through church or other organizations you will meet people and thus you can meet some single people.

Guntersville is a peaceful bedroom community for Huntsville . There is a good four lane HWY 431 to all the major restaurants and many quaint gormet places too. About 45 min drive .Major concerts amd shows are at the Von Braun Center. After you settle in, you will probally find plenty to do back in G'ville, especially if like anything connected to water sports and activities. The lack of hustle and bustle, crowded streets, crazy drivers, high prices make G'ville attractive to many. If you know no one from here, hook up with a church of your denomination and meet the locals. Better there than bars.

I agree with Thomas A....There is also several clubs you can join and meet very nice people who share your interests, like Gville yacht club, lots o singles and nice people. I myself enjoy it and usually travel to Hville for dinner, or to go to a nice club. The clubs in Gville are pretty played out...

Hey Speedstar, You might want to check out Birmingham or Huntsville and you will be only 1hr to 1 1/2 from Guntersville. I enjoy going into Huntsville to Eat or go shopping. Another great place to live is Hampton Cove it's one of the most prettiest places in Alabama! Best of Luck!

Stick with Guntersville, the Hampton Cove Subdivision over in Big Cove is full of plastic, snooty, transparent ",better than you" people.
