Good places to fish?

We're visiting the Miss Gulf Coast (again!) and looking for good fishing spots. I've tried different online searches but mostly get info on charters. We've taken local charters before but are really looking for the places where you like to fish. Your recommendations will be deeply appreciated. It would be nice if some of those places had convenient parking (don't want to walk a real long way) and had restroom facilities nearby.

Thanks in advance, we love your city and area.

Just an idea but might want to go into detail on what type of fishing you want to do. Salt water, fresh water. If so which kind of fish, different spots hit certain types of fish better than other, or atleast from what I've seen. Hope someone can give you a good spot though, most fishermen down here are afraid to give their spots up in fear of over population of bodies. But good luck.

Thanks, Michael. We're looking at saltwater fishing, possibly from an old bridge, short pier (not one of those long ones) or a bank. We mainly fish off the bottom with cut bait or shrimp. Not looking for any type of big fish, we'll be using medium to light tackle, with 8 to 12 pound test line. We don't even mind small catfish or mullets, as we're not planning on keeping anything we catch.

Thinking there might be some good spots in Bay St. Louis or Biloxi Back Bay. Or other inlets? We used to fish from the old bridge next to the Palace Casino in Biloxi but it's closed now.

I understand some people not wanting to tell where their really good spots are, but if we could get a few people to share some "just average" spots to catch a few fish, it would really be appreciated.

Thanks again in advance to all.

If your looking to for fishing like that I recommend just fishing off the "Biloxi Schooner Pier" It is mid length pier, not to long, but about half way theres a square deck with a roof. It stays shaded, and it has tables to put your gear on or sit. Other than that, if catfish and mullet is all you want just cast off the shore, promise you wont have any issues catching them two. Biloxi schooner is located between Hard Rock, and Isle Capri Casino.

Michael, thanks again! We went there and caught some catfish. Back home, I like to fish for bass and my wife likes fishing for panfish so this was a nice change of pace.
