The Old South was built by people helping each other out. Contracts were made by a handshake. Men were men, and yankees were yankees. The FBI has always been an enemy of the South, fabricating lies and accusations.
The real enemy is located up north in South Bend, Indiana-University of Notre Dame. Down south “Catholic County” aka Gay-nz-ville, Florida is not a friendly town.

The headquarters of the DM is in Dothan, Alabama; but they operate worldwide. I am not a part of the DM but do respect them.

The Dixie Mafia is a very much alive, very large (and growing), very well organized group of criminals and they literally blanket the south. Regardless of how upstanding they appear to be in the community, they're ALL white trash. To become a member, requirement number one is that someone must have a "day job", to explain how they can afford houses, cars, boats, etc. They also closely cooperate with the Outlaws M.C. on many criminal enterprises, especially drug distribution and murder. Since the mid 80's, ALL the old line "mob" organizations have been forced to buy their cocaine and heroin directly from the C.I.A. Only the importers who have foolishly decided to remain "independent" are targeted by federal law enforcement. That's correct, "our" government is directly responsible for at least 95% of the drugs flooding the streets of this nation. A cheap punk who is a member of both the Outlaws AND the Dixie Mafia has a "contract" to kill me right now. Having advance knowledge of someone's bad intentions, plus where that person is likely to be found at any given time is a very powerful tool. That sorry coward is the chief "hitter" for Clayton, Fayette, and Coweta counties in Georgia. Rumor has it he's even "done" some children. Yes, I know all the who, what, when, where, and how concerning his drug running, too. I know exactly "who's who" at the top of the Dixie Mafia (the "kingpins"), but they don't know me. I wouldn't bet on his team winning the game they're playing with me, I'm a retired U.S. Intelligence agent and I strongly believe that being proactive and extremely alert is always the most effective plan. I'm willing to bet my life the Dixie boys are about to suffer a long series of very devastating "hits" from an "unknown source".
one thing i can say about your comment its the funniest thing i ever read in my life.i no your joking because no one in his right mind would believe that BS.the Dixie mafia is a word invented by the FBI for southern criminals who may no another criminal in a different southern state. that's all it WAS.

Hi there!
I know this is really, really out-of-the-blue, but I'm conducting research for a documentary about law enforcement on the Gulf Coast and we're looking at Dewey D'Angelo as part of the project. Do you have any information, old photos or news articles about your uncle? If so we'd love to see them.
Thanks!

I spent time in Biloxi, MS at Keesler AFB for training starting in the mid 80's, visited the notorious Dream Room once and always wondered how they paid the light bill. The two women who were supposedly entertainers were not destined to be cast in the hollywood movie, Striptease. They served one kind of beer, Schlitz, in a can and it was so dark in there that the waitress/manager? used a flashlight to identify the denomination of dollar bills that were being exchanged. I heard from somebody who lived there that the club Cowboys/Oscars/Take Two (name changed between 1985 and 1990) might have been owned by one of the people named Judge and Margaret Sherry case. Anyone want to comment? Just curious if I was hanging out in one of the clubs owned by the colorful figures I've heard about.

Did anyone see the news today? Robert Ronald O'Connor (Kirksey Nix's son) was arrested with some woman and 11 other people who were already serving time in federal and state prison. THey said O'Connor was involved with multiple murders, and big time money scams that went into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. They feds took his computers, cell phones and said they been tracking him online for some time now. It seems these people never go away. They said Nix's son, O'connor had ties to people all over the united states and in Cuba also

I couldn't find any articles about this. Why would Kirksey Nix's son have a different last name?

Former Air Force...the Mattina family owned the club(s) until it was leveled for the Beau Rivage resort. David M's/Spinnaker Run were two other incarnations.

Dewey D'Angelo....My father was very good friends with your uncle and talked about him a lot when I was growing up. His passing effected him a lot...Thought it was weird to hear that name again.

I wonder now that Jim Letten has stepped down will that Federal Judge lift that gag order to the media about Nix's son and his co-harts? The Hibernias have a long history in New Orleans, I won't be surprised if another "Hiberniate" is appointed and this case gets swept under the rug with the rest of them

I worked for Dewey as a bartender, outside gate 7
the dancers weren't allowed to date customers
so I courted a few
he caught me spending the night in the house where some of the dancers stayed and told his nephew to break my arm
but he changed his mind and hired me
I never knew about his death until I saw the story on Dixie Mafia

I grew up in New Orleans, and we used to vacation in Biloxi and hear stories about highway patrol officers arresting people and taking them for a "ride" (a beating). It happened to someone I know, so it really did happen. But I remember hearing about people disappearing. It all stopped when some lawyer from New Orleans got stopped and taken for a "ride," and he sued and supposedly brought an end to this ugly practice. I'm curious if anybody knows of a connection between the then corrupt MS hwy patrol and the Dixie Mafia, and if this practice of taking people for rides/beatings/disappearings played a role in that. Also, if you know where I might read about the history of this chapter in MS history. Thx, Curious
"The Dixie Mafia" whether referring to the crooks who killed the judge or referring to the Italian mob in New Orleans doesn't really exist any more. Makes for great stories but has that organization existed @ all in the past decade even or 20 years?

I haven't heard anything about the "Dixie Mob" in over 20 years. did these ppl die out?

most of you are full of BS the Dixie Mafia has never existed and never will just as the A&E recent show tried to show case them has a gang that is actually known as the Simon City Rollers which is a bunch of white rejects it s a shame that people still try to keep the myth of the Dixie Mafia alive and try to make everything that happened on the coast controlled by them I also grew up on hte coast and had family members that owned bars and a few that ended up behind bars including myself but just because someone claims to be in a mythical group doesnt make it so if their were such a group I dont believe anyone would admit to being in it especially here where I am sure the government could track anyone here they wanted to but I do miss the good ole days on the coast
