A comment posted on gulf live about this is right. Listen to every word McDonald and a few say in these matters. The courts don't matter when they follow the law .Rezoning from R-1 is a whole different ball game than denying the legal use of a property already zoned for that purpose . When the board crosses the line the city pays .

Billy Guice will again teach the City of Ocean Springs a costly lesson.Who besides the Aldermen think that R-1 zoning belongs on Hyway90? Who would build a house on any of these lots? Nobody!Do you think the area/neighborhood has not changed since Walmart located across Hyway90 from these lots? Lets just take these properties out of commerce to secure a few votes for the next election cycle.

Thus far Dalgo is the only one per the news who's been sane enough to know the law. Too bad the courts will overturn this. I dunno much about McDonnell one way or the other but he seems to realize the courts will decide how this crap goes on.
If all else falls developers will just buy the votes they need...watch it happen.
