My father-in-law took his laptop to Blade computers to be repaired. That was in June of '08. We live in Texas so were unaware that he had done that (take it to a repair shop). As of today, Blade Computers has not returned his computer. It could just be a simple error and we are hoping they will return his computer, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Blade Computers is utterly horrible... I'm NEVER going back there... they actually made the problem worse!

Anyone out there know of another local PC repair shop that they'd recommend?

T-9 or Tech-9 on Beinville (Rt 90) at the entrance to Fort Bayou. They are busy all the time but they have done excellent work for me. Another thing in their favor is that I believe they turn down all government work.

Blade Computers is not legit, avoid them.

T-9 is close to being just like them. T-9 has Asian gang members hanging out there, that's why they look busy all of the time.

I brought my PC to T9 computers, and they did a great job, and charged me very little besides! I found my new PC shop...

The Hubs and I just took ours to Tech-Nine (f/k/a T9)they are professional and yes, VERY busy. I recommend this shop to everyone who asks where to take their computers. Our office also uses them to purchase monitors and computer this and thats.

Hi,the guy who made is comment is ignorant and is obviously full of it. I don't know why this fella has decided to dream up some complete bs about nine tech like that but it is not true. Please disregard Walters comment. The owner is a really great guy who will always treat customers with respect and charge a fair price. I can't help but laugh at this guy..I wonder how long it took him to think of that. Walter has also never had his PC serviced at Nine Tech, nor has ever bought anything from our store.

You can try Nerds On Site. Were a local Ocean Springs company with global presence. Give me a call 1 800 696 3737. If I can't fix it you dont pay. I'll also show you how to maintain your PC so the next time something happens you have the knowledge to fix it yourself.

Unusual, they normally do not allow phone #s to be posted. I tried to post a number for city hall once and thought a SWAT team was going to show at my door. Did they change their policy? Web Master - enlighten us please.

I used T-9 on Beinville once and my mom used them once. Both times were good experiences. Timely repairs and reasonable prices. The owner is knowledgeable and pleasant. I would recommend them.

Had a terrible experience with Blade also. My wife took our Dell to them. Over $130 later our operating system and backup are gone. Our Copies of MS Office are gone. Many of the files that she wanted them to save don't work any more. My daughter had the exact same virus attack on her computer. I told her to contact Dell instead. A few minutes with Dell tech support and she was back in business, software and files intact. We're still struggling with the one we took to Blade after four months. :(

Wow, I didn't realize google could personify and leap right out of my monitor and into my house to fix my computer, I totally thought it was just a search engine. WAIT... what if my computer is down and I can't google. Crap, gotta go find a real person to fix it at one of those old timey computer shops.

I have used both blade and t-9 and had good results with both. First time I got my computer back from Blade my documents didnt' work either but when I questioned it they told me they could not reinstall my office without me providing the software. I wasn't happy but they were correct. I got my office from my previous employer so I had to buy a copy. Tuan at T-9 also fixed one of my pcs and did a good job. only thing i have to complain about was the bill was a little higher than expected and it took longer than expected. Overall I would recommend both over any national chain. Oh and about Dell...you might want to look at the 1000's of complaints on their forums.....

I have had two bad experiences with Blade Computers. Personally, I took my computer to them to get it upgraded. They kept the computer for an usually long time, I paid my bill and didn't see any results. Amid many promises to resolve the issue, my computer appeared to be just as I brought it to them. Eventually, I had to send my computer to Houston to get the required upgrades.
Here recently, my employer brought a fax machine to them for repair. It has been several months, no calls from them and when we called them we were told a technician would have to call us back. We gave up, went bought a new fax machine and just picked up the older one last week...

I have had blade build computers for me , upgrade computers, do extensive add ons with sea plot for my commercial boat, and work on my laptops. As a matter of fact, we have used blade for the past 4-5 years extensively and found them to bend over backwards to do us right on each job. Daniel, who is no longer there, has been to my home and my business many times for in house repairs and upgrades, also warranty work. I have done several transactions since Daniel left and found them to be legit 100%. On the last transaction, they stayed open until well after midnight to get my boat computer done so it could get to work the next morning. Possibly, some of these comments are comming from the competition or someone who thinks they should get everything for nothing.
