I hear stories about you all the time. I hope Talia can teach Emma how to make a Grasshopper. Those people there are the dumbest people I ever worked with in my life. I hope the next hurricane finish the job Issac started.

She sure is. And her gf is the IT director and was best friends with Brosig. She is by far the worst bartender working there, and that most people in our Dept have ever seen. She gets away with things bc of her GF having some pull up stairs

There is a problem with this place, but nothing that can't be fixed with the proper people in charge. What this place needs is competent leadership, and someone that can excite the locals as well as the employees. The dealers are miserable, the casino hosts are unprofessional and unseen for the most part. Where is the casino host desk?! I had the displeasure of having a conversation that turned into a confrontation with the young arrogant head chef of the buffet. I was flatly told because people didn't eat all their prime rib NO ONE was allowed a thick piece. I'm in my 60's and assured him that my eyes weren't bigger than my stomach and that I wasn't brought up to waste food. His insane solution was two razor thin pieces. Prime rib should be thicker than shaved roast beef. He is a prime example of the wrong insensitive people in management positions. The meat carver had informed me that he would be fired if he cut anything but paper thin prime rib slices. That's whenI called for his boss. I've never had prime rib there again! These things should not even be issues. A customer should be allowed one thick piece at their request instead of two thin pieces mandated by the boss. SuperBowl Sunday we went to the dinner buffet whenit opened at 4:10 and was told no crab legs because they didn't order right! No discount offered. I want this place to make it and I've lived here through Katrina. Someone needs to listen and make changes and fast.

Yup! Her girlfriend/wife works in upper management. That's the only reason Emma has a job.

I had a friend go to Mville this week and he had nothing to say good. He was ignored by Emma and the server. He was so mad he told everybody at work how bad it is and to NEVER go to Mville. We all respect him and I'm sure most of us heard him LOUD AND CLEAR. Bad service will NEVER bring customer back.

I'm almost a day 1employee. Although there is some truth in some of the much earlier comments I certainly don't agree now. I've never seen us so busy and my feet hurt but I'm making $$$. More people means more $ for me in tips. Not sure what took so long. And I have not had any complaints as mentioned on service nor the people I work with everyday. Do you really work here?

The customer don't care. If I get bad service I just don't go back. I would NEVER complain about bad service at that place of business. And the business your talking about has to be on the weekends. I do talk to my friends who works there. Making money and busy is not the same.

It's well known that new management came in 6 weeks ago. They are making great changes as fast as they can but there's obviously people who are whiners and undermining the property. Those people with bad attitudes are being fired. Everyday I've been in there the place is packed, the buffett is jamming, the slots are ringing and cafe is full. Every employee I talked to is thrilled with how the place is turning so quickly and IS making money. It can't happen in a day but its getting there quickly. Most of these posts just look like whiners with a grudge. So unprofessional if u do work there and post like that. Great job margaritaville and continued success rebuilding to a positive, professional, trustworthy team

no truth to it as in a lot of these posts. It's a big rumor mill for the most part with no real facts to back it up. The new GM is turning it around. Brought in free play and lots of promotions. I was there and it was packed everyday. A friend that works there said they r now making profit. Lots of investors, not tax dollars. Is getting rid of dead weight and people with bad attitudes that aren't part of the team. I really enjoyed my visit and had great food in the cafe. I'll be back for sure

For future reference no matter what you do online always use a fake name, & usually something generic like 'gulf' or 'biloximan' or 'casinoguy' or something like that.
That way the only ppl who could figure out who you are ppl who hack -- & that's a federal offense or via some kind of court order -- & that would open up whoever got the court order to a privacy invasion lawsuit.
So use common sense guys, use a fake name.
let's hope these people aren't using company computers- company property. Most companies have a policy against using company computers for anything other than work related performance and also a policy against bashing employees or the company. It's malicious intent people. A fake name won't cover up key strokes or used passwords. Just do ur job and mind ur own business. This blog reminds me of middle school with the lousy attitudes and so many
People commenting on stuff they have no idea about except " their feelings". Grow up

Hey dude, just 'spitting' back to you what I've heard ppl who work there tell me. If you do work there I'd rec'd you guy add signs as somebody who I know tried to find it the other week but couldn't even after searching.

The ppl who I knew who worked there quit half a year ago. When I made the thread it was like that.

As for taking tax money -- they did indeed. You ever hear of 'incentives'? The state gave them money with the intent they create jobs.

Until those incentives are repaid then they're basically riding the taxpayer dime man. I hope they do fix it up, we could use the jobs. But I get the feeling since total GAMING REVENUE on the coast is DOWN & STILL hasn't come back to 2007 levels when they peaked you're basically just taking money from the other casinos who are then laying off workers.

You're not doing anything special. In other words the pay is shrinking but you guys are just taking a larger slice away from others thus leading to an overall loss.

But hey believe w/ever the hell you want, I guess.

Oh & only an idiot would use a company computer to do this. I've never worked for the company(thank God) & declined a job offer they gave me of 5 hr shifts that wouldn't even cover the cost of my food & gas to get to work each day, much less my bills.

If you're trying to scare ppl or something by implying you're going to rat ppl out then have fun. I don't work for your company & with the pay rates they pay their workers I wouldn't take it anyway.

Good. Now let's see if overall revenues on the coast can come back w/out taking away from the sales @ the other casinos. This is a regulated market for a reason. We don't allow 50 casinos @ once because if we did they'd all go out of business & we'd be left with a lot of empty real estate.

Its the same reason casinos in Atlantic City have collapsing prices right now. One of the casinos there the Trump Palace, just sold for a lousy 20 million -- a tenth of the cost of when Trump built the thing.

If we overbuild the coast will become just another Atlantic City with declining property values & sales as over-competition -- like overfishing, will 'destroy the stock' of customers we have. Margarita never should have been allowed to be built in the 1st place. Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Lake Charles & many other Indian Reservations are opening their own casinos, including 1 or 2 @ the Creek reservation north of Mobile. If we overbuild many of our guests from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, & Texas will just go to 1 of those markets rather than coming here.

OVERALL GAMING REVENUE peaked in 2007 here. Why just cut each piece of the pie smaller for each casino? They're already building a new casino in D'Iberville. HOw many more can the market handle before collapsing?

You need to turn your buffet situation around with a quickness if you want to keep new customers that are just now trying you out b/c of the free buffet coupons that were mass mailed. Your food was fine, but your set up was an ABSOLUTE JOKE. To have all of your dinner plates stacked over into ONE right corner is ridiculous. Are you purposely doing that to save on food costs and frustrate your customers??? I was not impressed with the ONE cash register and TWO separate lines just to pay and enter this debacle, nor the cafeteria style line that formed around the perimeter as people were confused and did not want to "cut line". You had people in line waiting to grab a plate for 10-15 minutes a time. There IS NO cut line, it's a flipping buffet. The customers seated near the wall with balls and ass in their faces did not seem too happy either.

Not an impressive experience at all and believe me that I was not the only one complaining. Do yourself a simple, quick and cheap temporary solution and SPREAD YOUR PLATES AROUND TO MULTIPLE AREAS UNTIL YOU FIGURE IT OUT!
