Today being the last day to officially apply for or get in line for ObamaCare, I'm just wondering how many residents in Jackson and surrounding counties signed up and their experiences so far? Questions I would like to hear discussed are:
What did you incur in the way of website problems?
Did you have insurance before?
Is the cost in line with your previous insurance?
Does your plan allow you to keep your existing doctors network?
What hospitals are included in the network?
I have no axe to grind here, I'm just curious. What with all the news reports and punditry, for and against, it is time to hear from folks that are actually engaged in the program. I and, I believe, the community would like to hear how it is going.

The biggest myth sold today is that Obamacare/ACA is socialism. Well it is, its corporate socialism.
I haven't been to the doctor in YEARS. Can't afford it. I stil don't have insurance that's worth a sh(t and even if I got subsidies I can't afford the insane copays or deductibles.
Canada has a "socialist" system & its a pretty good for average people.
All Obamacare will do is give govt subsidies to insurance companies to boost their profits. Insurance companies will still lie and deny you coverage.
And that's assuming your state even has expanded Medicaid for the poor, ours hasn't because the tea party nuts control the state legislature.
As for the "penalties" -- I don't care. If they start charging me I won't even file. What's the worst that can happen? They garnish my check when I do work? You can't cut taxes on the rich & then expect the poor to pay up when they have no cash. Too bad so sad.
Obama is NOT a liberal, he's a corporatist moderate.

I like the don't work ,won't pay, can't garnish the check I am not getting and I won't file attitude you got going on. The rich already pay over 80% of the taxes and more than 50% of the working population pay no taxes at all. Lets have a flat tax or consumption tax to make it fair to all. Taxed Enough Already is something most can support. You give more and they waste more at places like a bloated public works department. Cut the fat/fraud and the taxes on all.

I thought you were a supporter of Connie? If so are you a Democrat? If you are then wtf kinda Democrat speaks out against public employees & in favor of lower taxes & a flat tax?
You realize most Republicans don't even support a flat tax right? That was Steve Forbes' libertarian wet dream back in 1996....lol
Most Republican politicians realize they have to keep taxes at current levels, I think they need to triple them. They were 90% or so when Ike was president & yet you act like you're being persecuted now.
Also I'm willing to gamble you in some way or another get paid by the taxpayer. Or am i wrong? If you work for Ingalls you work for the Dept of Defense. If you work for any hospital or doctor's office you probably get money from the HHS Dept....
So you basically want money from the govt for your job but you don't want people like me to get anything & then you delude yourself into thinking its "your" money that you get from other taxpayers....
I'd be working more often to if the govt was hiring like it did 30 yrs ago....
