Kudos to MS AG's healther Wagner and Biloxi PD's Aldon Helmert! Thanks for all your hard work in making the sale of human beings more serious than the sale of marijuana.

Trafficking is a serious problem on the MS Gulf Coast and it is getting worse... it will be at its peak during the Super Bowl when young boys an girls are brought in to keep up with demand by sports fans who want to rape them.

If you want to help the victims or catch the traffickers consider joining forces with Advocates For Freedom, the HT agency of record in the state. www.advocatesforfreedom.org

I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I think the threat is probably a bit overblown.

Violent crime continues its 20 year decline. Plus -- how exactly do they track this stuff? Its not like these scumbags advertise do they?

I'd suspect human trafficking would be far more prevalent in a place like New York or LA -- or near the border with Mexico, no?

No. South MS is a perfect corridor, and there are literally thousands of slaves who are already in the rocess of suing their traffickers... the problem is huge. I used to think like you that there couldn't possibly be a trafficking problem in my little home town, but my eyes have been opened. Dd you kow that a man was convicted earlier this yea for putting slave labor in at the Beau Rivage casino? That Signal Int'l also had slaves? And Aramark? The recent rig explosion uncovered hundreds of slaves working on that platform. 350 school teachers in S LA were found to be slaves as well... Last year, a slave ring was found working on Keesler AFB... all these can be verifid through court records. It is definitely a problem... the organization of record for our state is called Advocates For Freedom. They are helping the AG's office to track traffickers and their victims. www.advocatesforfreedom.org
