Baldwin County school board votes to nix Foley janitorial contract
School board members voted Thursday to rescind a contract with a Pensacola company hired to do custodial work at Foley High earlier this year when the company raised its price by some $50,000. "We had 2 companies who submitted bids in response to our request for proposals," Baldwin County Superintendent Alan Lee said.

Now, I hope that the Mayor of Foley and the other Council Members take a lesson from this and don't give $50,000.00 of our tax dollars to Foley High School just because it would be a nice thing to do if all of the $50,000.00 was coming out of their pockets and not ours.
