Gulf Shores Patrolman Chris Bagby named Baldwin County "Officer of the Year"

Despite being badly burned himself, Gulf Shores Patrolman Chris Bagby had to be physically pulled away by other officers from his attempts to free a 22-year-old woman hopelessly trapped inside a burning and overturned E-320 Mercedes.

What these Officers do is a great service to the public, and this Officer deserves the Honorable mention he is getting.There were no comment's on this story but, if this Officer would have made the slightest mistake, he would have been chastised by the public.

How inspiring to hear about the lengths that this one young man would go to in order to try to save other human beings while ignoring the danger posed to himself. It restores my faith in humanity.
