Hi. We will be coming to Biloxi Beach for vacation in a month. We have our condo narrowed down to 2 different ones, & are asking for your help in us picking the best one. We are thinking of Legacy Villas or Villas at Ocean Club (it is my understanding that this isn't the actual "Ocean Club", but the "Villas at Ocean Club". We need to know from people that that live there & have seen both of these, which is the nicest? What else should we do while there? Is the beach pretty right now? Thanks!!

Are you kidding, have you been here since the storm! All the local attractions are gone, the only beach restaurants that have rebuilt are Waffle house and Hooters. Unless you plan on spending all your money in the Casino's why would anyone in their right mind wanna come here?

Are you serious?? All the websites I have been looking at say that the coast is back & better than ever. Please don't tell me this! I am 10 hours away from Biloxi, so this all news to me......Someone was telling me about "Long Beach" and said that is was the nicest & prettiest part of the beach. Any & all comments are appreciated! |

Yes I am dead serious, nearly nothing has rebuilt on the beaches except a few gas stations and a few waffle houses. Unless you plan on spending all your time at the casino's the only real attraction left is Ship Island, not sure if renovations to Beauvoir are complete yet. Please send me the websites that you are refering to so I can see why they are claiming we are back bigger than ever, thats a joke!

Yeah hate to tell you bro but the beach in biloxi/gulfport sucks ass, unless you want a beach chair, jet ski rental...However I stay at the beau view condos, I am here right now, and in my opinion these are the best. I have been to both the condos legacy and beach club, and if I had to pick one the legacy condos scale 1 - 10 is a 7 and the beach club sucks ass, 1 - 10, maybe a 4, definitelyu would go with legacy, or if you can change your option go w/ beau view. |

From biloxibeachfront.com : Welcome to Biloxi Beach Front! Biloxi Beachfront rentals, condos, hotels, casinos, and more are back and stronger than ever. New construction is lining the coast and Beach Blvd is the place to be. New casino sites have been approved and more and more condos and vacation rentals are heading to the coast. Because Biloxi is a growing tourist destination with many casinos and hotels, taxis are everywhere. In biloxibeachcondovacations: Welcome to the Mississippi Gulf Coast condo rentals, in the "Playground of the South!", where you will find exceptionally priced Championship golf courses, museums, exceptional cuisine, world class entertainment, famous potteries, charter boat fishing, historic districts, art galleries, unique shopping districts, outlet malls, and so much more! There's something for everyone here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast! So "Come on down!" as we say here in the deep south, and enjoy our southern hospitality! from gulfcoast.org Unforgettable is the only word to describe Mississippi Gulf Coast's picturesque beaches! Twenty-six miles of soft white sand outlines gentle waves that dance on the water's surface offering an exceptional view from U.S. Highway 90, aka Beach Boulevard! A chain of barrier islands limits the amount of strong waves reaching the beaches, making the resultant calm gentle waters ideal for water-based activities and children! Several pullovers provide convenient beach access, photo opportunities, and water adventures for beach goers! Pass Christian and Long Beach, which are just west of the Gulfport/Biloxi area are considered residential areas offering quieter, tranquil sections of beaches for sunbathing, romantic walks, or moonlight picnics. Presently there are only limited portable restrooms available, but plans are for new and improved comfort stations to be rebuilt! ~~~~~~~~~All of these websites make Biloxi sound so nice!! And the pictures!! The beach & sand & water all look beautiful!!!!......So what about Long beach? Is it really a nicer & prettier beach?? |

Listen to me, literally nothing has been rebuilt on the beach, only golf coarse in Biloxi that is open is Sunkist and as for museums youll have to drive to Ocean Springs for The Walter Anderson museum cause the George Ohr isnt even half finished rebuilding after the storm. The only landmark restaurant in Biloxi that has rebuilt is Mary Mahony's and I have lived here since 69 and was unaware that we had a historical district! Our beaches are man made from dredging material from the gulf and the water is brown not blue and pristine like youll find in Gulf Shores or the Fla panhandle. Like I said earlier the only thing to really do here is loose your money at the Casino's, the machines are so tight that many locals including myself no longer play at the casino's. If you still dont belive me then I would love to talk to you further, i have some land here that I would love to sell you!

Thank you very much for your honesty! I have been doing some more checking, and with what you have told me, & others, we are no longer vacationing in Biloxi. We decided to go to Gulf Shores. |
