Fake Christmas Trees

Stores are once again beginning to fill with imported fake Christmas trees. According to the National Christmas Tree Association, 85% of these plastic imitations are manufactured in China. Even more disturbing is the claim that a large number may contain dangerous lead.

Americans wishing to enjoy a traditional and safe Christmas would be well advised that Real trees are grown by American farm families who employ fellow Americans. These trees are 100% renewable, preserve open space and reduce global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. As a matter of fact, an acre of Christmas trees releases the oxygen requirements of 18 people!

It's time for America to say "No thanks, China. This year we will celebrate with a REAL American Christmas tree."

Hundreds of thousands of Americans also work for companies that import artificial Christmas trees. We decorate our trees whether live or artificial with ornaments and lights strings manufactured in China. The water buckets we fill every day to keep the live tree fresh is made in China.

Live trees are lovely and smell delicious, and alternating a live tree every few years with an artificial tree is a great way for consumers to experience the best of both worlds. This year I have purchased an absolutely breathtaking artificial Christmas tree from http://www.christmaslightsetc.com/ and next year I plan to use it again. The last few years I purchased a live tree. For homes with multiple trees, families have the option of using both live and artificial trees at the same time.

There are legitimate reasons to purchase both live and artificial trees, but if anyone is making the decision to purchase an artificial tree, skip the stores and go online - find a company with a Strong company history and customer base, and check the BB ratings. This is how I was led to Christmas Lights Etc, and my tree is much more realistic than any tree I have seen at the big chains. Whether live or artificial, everyone wants the most realistic looking tree.
