I had heard that South Pittsburg has a new Police Chief. Dale Winters has taken that job. I have known Dale for a long time and he has worked his way up the ranks to get the job. I can tell you one thing you will be able to see a big difference in south pitt when he get started.

He should have gone in BAMA but wiggled his way out of it!

The incident in Alabama is not what everyone wants to say it was. People should really get their facts together before they pass judgement.South Pittsburg is at it's worst. So, obviously the past chiefs haven't been doing a good job. Everyone has their own opinion of who they think will do a good job. I wonder in a year if Cheif Winters does a great job will those of you that have something bad to say come back here with your foot in your mouth and post something positive? I doubt that! Everyone is very fast to judge someone but I doubt that anyone would see any of you in that position doing a diffrent job. I think it pisses people off that Dale Winters isn't scared to try something diffrent to make a change. Don't hate people! Dale Higdon is a very good man. I am not partial to anyone. I just love to see how people like to throw stones. The man isn't even in the door yet. At least give him a chance to screw up before you decide he has! And for the record I know the Alabama incident personally. Get your facts straight! Instead of dumbass people guessing on what rumor they have heard recently! Get a little backbone about you. I'm sure that all the nice little boys standing on the corners in South Pittsburg can find a new "job location". not to worry, If you are a loyal customer they will make sure that you can get in touch with them. Cheif Winters will not mess up your little connection. If he does then you will just have to find a new guy. Thats the breaks. You call all disagree with my post. Lucky for me, all your stupid opinions wont hurt my feelings. Got to love a redneck! If you have nothing to worry about then you shouldn't see to much of the new Chief!

You can say what you want I remember very well when he was trying to come to work in TN law enforcement, someone very close to him was talking about that he was worried that TN would not let him work since he had agree to never work in LE again, in Alabama, in exchange for not going to JAIL!! You know if you don't do anything wrong then you don't have to worry about anything. Chief Winters knows the law and knows it well, if you don't believe me just brake law and let him show you. Winters is out to make south Pittsburg a better place to raise your kids up and bring back some community pride back to south pittsburg. you have to give him a chance, and you'll see just how honest chief winters is. he is a good man and he stands up for whats right............

dale winters is nothing more than a crook. and yes he barely escaped alabama prison by making a deal. this is fact. dale winters is not here to make south pittsburg a better place. he is only out to make a name for himself.

I think that people should know that the city came to him and offered him the position as Chief, he didn't go to them. And if you aren't doing anything wrong in the first place then what do you have to worry about. Let him clean the city up and make a good, safe place for people and their kids before you judge him. I think he accepted the position in pride for South Pittsburg and for his family. Leave the man alone.
