1 For a few days I have been busy and there have been some very nice folks and businesses I have wanted to recommend. Honestly, I have had it on my mind to start featuring businesses and organizations to recommend to you because in The Revolution of Virtue it may be even more important to inform you about positive experiences with businesses and directing you towards good folks than it is to inform you about the miscreants and my misadventures. Nonetheless, I must inform All Y’all that I can not and do not recommend the services of Curtis Johnson Realty and his associates. Perhaps the problem is just with Curtis Johnson’s associates. I don’t know but I’m going to find out–as soon as Curtis Johnson returns my phone call. Perhaps Curtis will be more reasonable than his underlings. Nonetheless, Curtis as a broker remains responsible for what those under him do. I know. I should have seen this one coming, I should have smelled it a mile away. But when you really hope a business can help you, you’ll believe their marketing hogwash and even deny your own common sense. Indeed, If it sounds too good to be true it probably is FALSE. We’ll talk more about this. At this point, let it suffice to say I’d recommend any realtor over Curtis Johnson Realty. Stay tuned. |

Seriously Dr. Kent? How can anyone take you serious with a post like this? Attention to detail must not be a big deal for you. Since you want to make this public I would hope you would tell more of the details that makes us so bad? Like saving your bacon after you stopped paying the bank … finding buyers for your home, working for months and negotiating a sale with your bank so they would let you move on … only to have you REFUSE to vacate the home, force the buyers to move on and blow up the deal. Why is it when people refuse to pay their bills or take responsibility for their actions they have to blame others? Sad. It is a sign of a small man that bears false witness against his neighbor in order to make himself look better. I wish you the best Dr. Kent … I hope you find the peace you are looking for. Curtis |

The most hilarious quote from Curtis is this one, which makes him out to be an amazing hypocrite:

Well, he attacks the good doctor and others for irresponsibility for "refusing to pay their bills," when he himself, Curtis Johnson, is in the same boat. He owns an investment property on Flamingo Dr. in Chandler (MLS #4172783)- or rather, to be more exact, his LLC, "KESSLER'S KARMA, LLC" owns an investment property. It is going to short sale: "REALTOR Remarks: Short Sale opportunity being handled by full-time, experienced negotiators!" "BANK-APPROVED PRICE!!! Great family home in beautiful Arden Park! Upgraded cabinetry, 16x16 tile in all areas except bedrooms, fireplace with entertainment niche, large private yard with no 2-story homes behind. Pride of ownership!" He bought the property on 6/30/06 with a mortgage for $324,000. Now, in 2009, he's trying to get the bank to agree to take only $225,000 for the balance of it! So, why doesn't Curtis of Curtis Johnson Realty want to pay his bills? |

This is just a brief update. The purpose of my initial post was to protect my loyal readers. It was not intended to cause harm but to protect. However, after talking with Curtis on the phone today, I must say the man is a liar. He and his associates are trying to steal my home. Rather than list it accurately, they have fraudulently locked it up and off the market while listing it on MLS at the same time! I know, it doesn’t make sense but the fact is Curtis Johnson Realty refuses to do anything they have promised me. I strongly suggest all avoid Curtis Johnson Realty. Curtis and his associates insist upon continuing to list my house on MLS–Multiple Listing Service. Moreover, other realtors who want to help me sell my house have informed me that my property is listed on MLS as “contract pending.” This is a lie! As a result of this fraud, no one is looking at my house and no other realtor is able to assist me, that is, until Curtis Johnson Realty either changes the listing or ceases the listing. Curtis and his associates received written notice from the title company as did I that the buyer cancelled a month and a half ago! Because Curtis Johnson and his associates have no plan to help me avoid foreclosure on October 2nd, yet Curtis Johnson Realty persists in holding me and the listing “hostage” by listing it as “contract pending,” what do Curtis Johnson and his associates intend? Is Curtis Johnson Realty trying to force me unnecessarily into foreclosure? Do they want to steal my house? |

I am preparing to take Curtis Johnson Reality to small claims court and report him to RESPA and the BBB. I think after reading this I will also contact the news media to see if they can help me get back my $800.00. This company is the most unprofessional company I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. I think Curtis showed his true self here when he stooped so low as to say "Like saving your bacon after you stopped paying the bank …" Shame on you Curtis!

1 I'm seriously thinking about switching brokers. I'm blown away by Curtis ads, and emails, and just the fact that he is actually the top producing agent in AZ. You can call any Title Company and they will verify that for you. Why wouldn't I want to work for Curtis Johnson??? |

Based on what? First, Curtis doesn't do it all himself (though you would be led to believe that he DOES, if you weren't in the business and heard his ads.) It is a TEAM. The entire company ostensibly works as a team. Then, one must keep in mind that size matters. If you have a team of 5 people crank out 200 sides, and a team of 50 people crank out 500 sides, is the "500 Side Team" REALLY the "top producing agent"? Finally, one mustn't forget to include sides from new home builders. Those are frequently left out of statistics. |

You know, I did check him out on the AZDOR website and all his Sales people are basically new. Why is that? He only has one sales person in his office in Mesa. Did you use to work for him?

High turnover. People with talent won't settle for being paid such low splits. And people who have no talent, leave as soon as they get it. |
