The claim that the House health care bill pushes suicide is nonsense.

Summary
On former Sen. Fred Thompson’s radio show, former lieutenant governor of New York Betsy McCaughey said that the House’s proposed health care bill contained a provision that would institute mandatory counseling sessions telling seniors how "to do what’s in society’s best interest … and cut your life short." House Minority Leader John Boehner made a slightly more measured statement, warning that the same provision "may start us down a treacherous path toward government-encouraged euthanasia if enacted into law."
In truth, that section of the bill would require Medicare to pay for voluntary counseling sessions helping seniors to plan for end-of-life medical care, including designating a health care proxy, choosing a hospice and making decisions about life-sustaining treatment. It would not require doctors to counsel that their patients refuse medical intervention.

Holland is not a country it's a region in the country of the Netherlands. Furthermore, your "story" is bullshit! No such fear there! How do I know? I lived there until recently and still have (elderly) family there. I think I would know. Don't you?

Page 65: Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (example: SEIU, UAW and ACORN) You see the SEIU and ACORN are the strong arms of the NEW Democrat Army that's why they get special treatment.

Page 425 of the Health Care Bill, HR 3200, details a rationing of care for people near death. The exact section that is causing such controversy is on Page 430 and reads:

'An advance care planning consultation with respect to an individual may be conducted more frequently than provided under paragraph (4)

if there is a significant change in the health condition of the individual, including diagnosis of a chronic, progressive, life-limiting disease, a life-threatening or terminal diagnosis or life-threatening injury, or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility (as defined by the Secretary), or a hospice program.

A consultation under this subsection may include the formulation of an order regarding life sustaining treatment or a similar order.'

First, why won't you answer the questions that I posed in the previous posts? Why are those items necessary?

Second, if you are crazy enough to think for one minute that the HEALTH CARE plan that Congress has is in any way at all similar to the plan that is being proposed you need to get your head out of the clouds and come back down to earth.

The current health care plan that congress uses, is GOVT. organized, but it consists of over 20 different, PRIVATE HEALTH CARE PACKAGES, these packages have been specially designed by private companies to fit the specs given to them by the federal govt.

The health care packages that the folks in congress have, is FAR SUPERIOR to anything that a common, average, everyday American could purchase. Some unions have coverage that is close, but they still can't measure up.

Now, if you think that the new Universal Health Care plan that is being proposed by the Messiah himself, Barack Hussein Obama, is going to just like the one that congress has you are not only in the clouds, but you have been deprived of oxygen for so long that you are now delusional and in need of necessary assistance......

That is absolutely not true. I'm from the Netherlands, and our elderly people don't have such fears at all. Who told you this nonsense? Our euthanasia laws require a carefull evaluation process, several approvals by different medical experts and most and for all the approval of the patient self, before going forth with Euthanasia. It is a blessing for terminally ill people in great suffering, not an instrument to get ride of sick people. I have never ever heard anyone expressing a fear like you mention above.
