I have been a lifelong supporter of Grundy football. I'm glad Rowe is on his way out, but looks like politics is still playing a role in the coaching staff. Coach Plymal deserved the head coaching spot. He was the only assistant coach that truly had the boys' best interests in mind. Ward isn't experienced enough and was even banned from being an assistant after a drinking incident involving the boys last year. Very sad!

I agree Football Fan, "Very sad"! Looks like we are already losing some of our best players to other schools and some that won't play for Ward. Sad, sad time for Grundy football.

Is it degrading for a coach to coach single A ball after being in the AA category? Just wondering

I don't think they felt is was degrading as much as the pressure to excel in a lower class. So much is expected from the parents and fans of Grundy football.

because they knew they had ran the programinto the dirt is why they left. For the last three years they never once took time to work with the JV kids what few they had. They were only worried about the dirty dozen. They played the same kids for the last 4 years never not one time worked with any younger kids.Never worked to get kids out because they knew they were going to quit this year and didnt want to leave the new coach anything. And thats the truth.

You know your team is going to suck when even the faithfull start talking about the cheerleading team instead of the football team.

I went to jm bevins and high school with jeremy and he is a great person from great parents and he was a great friend he is alot better than greg rowe but i would have loved to played for plymal when i was in school maybe this is what the wave needs a good coach that will let all the kids get a little playing time instead of the same kids on both sides of the ball and rowe never worried about next year he would get one running back and run him every play he did it every game play choice will make a big difference and i would rather my kid play for Ward anyday over Rowe. Go Ward hope ur kids back u and the season is a beginning of alot of wins.

Support, apparently you never watched any Grundy football. If you had, you would know that Coach Plymal was the offensive coordinator and called the offensive plays. Jeremy will continue the same thing that Rowe did throughout his coaching career. This is why the coaching job should have been advertised and a good coach been hired from out of the present system.

I agree Coach Ward is a good person with good parents and a great family. He will have a lot of people backing him. He has a huge family with a lot of friends. Yes he has made mistakes but what coaches haven't, Rowe, Plymal and Compton have made lots of mistakes and done things that are a lot worse than what Coach Ward did. They made it fine and he will too. Go Coach Ward, a lot of people support you.
