Mott's museum also has other Lincoln memorabilia that I have only seen elsewhere at the museum in Springfield IL.

Sorry, but until it's scientifically proven to be Lincoln's, I would highly doubt its authenticity.
I've been collecting and researching antiques and artifacts for many years, and in my experience the vast majority of family stories handed down with artifacts over the years turn out to be inaccurate. There are a lot of disappointed people who come in with great-grandma's whatever and are convinced of what it supposedly is and where it supposedly came from because that's what they were told their whole life. Sometimes when they find out that for whatever reason the story can't be true and the item isn't what it was purported to be, they refuse to believe it and take offense.
Anyone who's ever played the game called "operator" knows what quickly happens to a story that gets retold just a few times in a short period, let alone one that is retold over several generations.

Soon they will clone Lincoln because of this hair...or they will clone Bill Hunztman because it is his hair and not Lincolns.

Yes, it's possible to identify Lincoln's hair by DNA.
1) Who, besides Mr. Mott would want to?
2) Wjho would travel all the way to Gettysburg to look at a lock of Lincoln's hair?
3) Who would travel all the way to Groveport to look at a lock of Lincoln's hair?

Test it, DNA it, Clone it. We need real leadership in this country.
