This is the of the worst companys i have ever worked for. Teresea has no idea what she is doing. The buses are junk and they treat you terrible. I can not wait for the city to take over.

I rode buses for 7 years in the 70's and this never happend. Kids played with friends after school and wore themselves out before bedtime to get proper rest. Now they play on the internet and video games and forget the time. 4 hours of sleep for youngsters does not cut it. A kid is now behind a closed bedroom door and parents have no clue to what they are doing late at night. They go to bed themselves and "assume" the children have to. The sad thing is the wrong person will be faulted here.

This does not suprise me!! I teach at a charter school and we also have tons of issues with first student buses!! students not being picked up or if they are the bus will be over an hr late!! We have a significant amount of students who are missing instruction time due to the buses being late. We have enrollement of over 800 students and the line in the morning for tardies from the office due to late buses is out the office door!! In case you didnt know it, the reason first student got the contract was due to them under bidding all other bus companys by at least 20k. Columbus city schools I guess couldnt resist the bargain even though this company has a checkered past with bus drivers using drugs and not completing background checks. I guess the safety of our students is worth the savings.... ask Gene Harris.... oh yeah forgot to mention that they have dropped of K students when no one is at the stop to pick them up!

I walk my son to his bus (he rides CPS bus NOT First Student) stop every morning and there are several First Student buses that travel through our area in the mornings. The drivers in my area are a complete danger to everyone. They speed down the side streets over the speed bumps, when they turn corners, they end up on the sidewalk. One driver literally blocks traffic while he's flirting with the mother of one of the students. I've also seen them on main road (Broad Street, Main Street, etc.), speeding up on yellow lights or actually running red lights. I've seen several of them on their cell phones not paying attention to where they are going. I've tried to get in contact with First Student as well, but get no response. My next step is to call the police. These people are trusted with very valuable treasures...and they need to act accordingly. Oh and before you start ripping me for my son catching a bus...I know his driver. She is one of the most responsible people and I would trust her with my life. I do everyday when I put my son on her bus.
Good luck in getting First Student to answer the phones...

what you people fail to realize is that not all of us are drivers like this some of us 99% of us care about our kids and check the bus everytime we get the kids to school and for the people who are not in the area this has nothing to do with you if you lived here you would see the great drivers we have and would not put all of us in the same catergory as a small few of those who can't do the job right which goes for all drivers who can't drive and don't check busat least i make sure my kids are taken care of esp. if i'm not working on that day so why don't ya'll just give most of us a break and give us the respect we deserve and quit bashing all of us
