I wonder if alcohol was involved? Still, it's an unfortunate accident.

I wonder if he was wearing a life jacket? It's very unfortunate. Sad to hear something like this.

"24 hr. pay fishing pond"???
This is like the seedy, hourly-rate motel of the fishing world.

I bet the fish went back home and told the school that he caught a 190 pounder.

No offense to your comment but just for the record I hope no one says this comment when I die. Cause I love living the most, my guess is this guy did to. So he really didn't die doing what he loved cause if that was the case he'd still be alive.

I think we're talking hardcore Bubba style here. They were probably arguing over who is more hilarious, Larry the Cable Guy or Jeff Foxworthy, and he got pushed in the water.

I have fished there before a long time ago, it may have been called Bandy's pay lake back then (maybe). I didnt think it was all that deep and it was not "seedy" then - it was family oriented.

RIP

I haven't fished a pay lake for over 45 years but when I did I often fished with my two younger brothers, I was maybe 15. Dad would drop us off and we would fish all night in the morning he would come back and pick us up. This is a very sad event, haveing a couple of brews is not a crime if that happened at all. There are alot of people that just can't swim. It sadens me to know someone lost their life while fishing. I am sure he was bank fishing so a PFD would not have been needed.

You and Big Johnson must be related. I'll throw rocks at you for free and put you out of our misery.
