No one can be happy with the tactics of Kasuck and the Senate Republicans. It is poltical corruption being practiced at it's very best. I feel they are operating in a manner that could be called organized crime.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the Patron Saint of the Democrat Party, said that public employees do not belong in unions.

Government employees are rarely fired or disciplined due to protections from Civil Service Laws. Government never goes out of business, no matter how poorly they perform. To add that collective bargaining at the expense of tax payers is too much.

State government is not the National Football League. The sooner public employees awake to that reality the better. The Golden Goose of State Government is dead because of the Unions (who killed the Goose to get the golden eggs).

Love that Clay is for SB 5 - he is safe now that he is retired. Wonder if he would have been for it if he was still working and it would affect him?!? I have a feeling that he wouldn't.

This is good for Ohio. No public employee should have the ability to strike.

The union has been over sensationalizing this issue with doom and gloom and it is not true.

We will not see the police and fire departments shut down and schools will still operate.

I do expect the unions will use their thug tactics to operate blue flu, sickouts and work shutdowns.
And if they do, there needs to be some firings.

The unions are greedy and have made the unfavorable climate for government across America.

Taxpayers are in charge again and we say do your job or get fired.

How fortunate that a Hoosier is judging the civil service in Ohio? We are impressed with the enforcement of the Clean Air Act for the US Steel plant on the Indiana Dunes when we drive by Gary. The plumes of smoke almost extend to I-90.

Here's Mitch Daniel's and John Kasich's idea of a govenerment pay scale in the face of $200,000 mortgages.

Proposed position descriptions with no step or longevity pay increases with merit based increases only will be as follows:

Specialist Pay range 20 ($20,000/yr)
Bootlicker Pay range 21 ($21,000/yr)
Uber Bootlicker Pay range 22 ($22,000/yr)

Mitch Daniels had the audacity to critique the civil servants in Ohio as elite. Kasich appointed the most arrogant director, Hoosier hick Scott Nally, and he doesn't give a damn.

Hey Been There, quit acting like a spoiled child. The money is gone, cuts need to be made and threatening the tax payers that have provided you with your salary and benefits is NOT helping your cause. And would it kill you to write a proper sentence? You're making your English teacher look bad.

This race to the bottom is the result of a 40 year Nixon enemy's agenda that got traction under Regan and is now a full blown economic disaster for the middle class.

This is how they did it in Germany,
The 1st they came for the gays,
Then the came for the poor
Then they came for Labor Unions
Then they attacked outsiders and those that objected

Only here it has been;
1st they created an all volunteer right wing military
Then they bought off the cops and safety forces with incentives
Then they cranked up the hate and lie propaganda machines
Then they took the nation to war to create a crisis
Then they started rigging election and stacking the Supreme Court
Then created a fake "Tea Party" controlled by the right wing spin masters

Is there really "That Much" separating Nut Case K-Daffy from Nut Case K-Sick ???
At the end of their greed is a Cheap Labor/ Low Wage Future For You
And More Wealth Control and Greed For The Top 20% aka The Nut Case Right

The Tea Party members quoted in this article are:
a retired RN for the federal government
a retired university employee
Did the reporter even think to ask them about their pensions? It is because of these folks that we are in this mess in the first place. Its Ok for them to take much more in pension than they ever contributed, but the current employees (whose contributions pay them) are the problem. Wow, just wow! Hippocrites all!

Well that's pretty typical of the TPs - hypocrites, all of them. They scream for smaller government (while enjoying government employment and pensions themselves) then support a bill that actually increases government control.

The wealthy are paying less percentage in taxes as part of the largess of Republicans with our money. At the same time the Republicans don't want to raise taxes on wealthies at state or Federal levels.

Meanwhile they've got the public divided arguing among themselves over who's the more self-righteous: the TEA partiers or the union groups or the general public with no college degrees nor training who thinks people with two degrees don't deserve above minimum wage.

They've divided you so that they can do what they want. Don't people see what the Republicans ahve done?

They have rammed through poor bills (again) just like the democrats. I can't wait to vote out Republicans here at home. AND I won't forget by 2012 like they hope I will do.

They also have successfully put teachers into the group of lower pay worker bees they want them in. I would never recommend anyone to go into teaching again as a profession. The Ohio public doesn't want them to be professionals in any way other than responsibility. Certainly not in pay scale. So ask your lawyer, dentist, doctor, accountant to take less money because the legislatures in Ohio from the past didn't step up and start cutting?--Because the FEDS kept putting off Federal Medicade onto the states so the FEDS didn't lose as much money on it.
