Wow, how did the NWS miss the boat on this one? There was no tornado warning issued whatsoever last night!! People could have died as a result!

@the first poster-
Actually they were issuing warnings before the storms were hitting different areas. They were moving at over 75mph, you do the math. Do you not own a weather radio? If not I would suggest buying one! Your persoanl safety is just that, your own!

I find it funny how people like to complain. They either set off the sirens too much or not enough. Which way do you want it?

As often as Timewarner runs their "weekly" (nightly) test, most people likely ignored it.

It's severely desensitizing me to that obnoxious "ERRR ERRR ERRR" sound, and it's not a good thing.

I am going to tell you that there had to have been a small funnel cloud at the least come down here where I live in Canal and take down part of our fence.

I am in Lucas County to the North. We had a confirmed tornado with no warning also. Seems like many National Service offices are asleep at the wheel. It's not like the hundreds of miles long bow echo appeared out of nowhere. Someone needs to do some investigation to find out why more than one NWS office missed it...

For those complaining about no sirens... maybe you ought to do some investigation as to why instead of harping. Maybe let NWS know the sirens didn't sound. I happened to be up during these storms and know for a fact that warnings were issued. And no I don't work for the weather service
