Lake County Proud.

Working out of a hotel this week I felt the peer pressure not to buy my normal case of bottled water for $4.79 I opted for the 2-12packs of cola for $7.89 At the end of the week I was mentally hounded by how foolish this was.
But then, soon I'll have teeth that the Commisioners will recognize.
No water for economic purposes! Hooray for Lake County and an apparent uninformed Commissioner Hill who as County representative to the Mid Florida Economic Commission claims no idea of what they are involved in.

Neutral? Refusing a generous donation that was solicited by a staff representative of the March of Dimes and rochelle Darman says they're being "neutral". What tripe! What idiocy! And what local leadership is she referring to? One person? Three persons? Or the whole board? Thank God at least one boardmember has the guts to acknowledge his foolish recommendation. And if Comm. Hill has got back into the truthtelling business, she's to be commended as well. But what about the whole board? My donation this year will go to the national chapter as well, until the local or state chapters return to their former good judgement and become more forthcoming about their involvement.

The local March of Dimes asked us to make a donation to help mothers and babies ...and we quickly answered the call by making the donation. Just like we always do.

If you are reading this, please do not let this negatively affect your donations to (or perception of) the March of Dimes. This situation has been caused by a select few people that wanted this exact story to get played in the media.

Please continue your support for the March of Dimes. It's a tremendous organization.
