She did surgery on my back in 2001 and I've had problems with it every since .I've been to dozens of Doctors about my pain andthey all say my pain stems back to the Back Surgery that I in 2001. I wish I would have found a better Doctor now
Surgery is bad

I am truly sorry this happened to this family and hope the award will ease the economic burden of hospital/therapy bills.
I would urge anyone with chronic back pain to seek alternative pain management options before considering surgery, which should be the ABSOLUTE last resort.

My wife.recently had surgery to repair a severe injury which occured during a fall down steps. My wife now has no pain in her legs for the first time in years. She tried chiropractic treatments and steroid/anesthesia injections. All failed long term. Less than a week after surgery leaving the hospital pain free. Dr Neltner is a great surgeon.

Money as the reward for poor judgment, conning a woman on medical procedure isn't enough but the court is a penny counter and that is the punishment. IMO: The doctor should not be practicing (license taken) and the decision for punishment including death or dismemberment of the doctor should be left up to the family.

Too many operation and drugging of patients so that the doctors can make money needs to be addressed in a manner that would scare the devil to the gates of heaven with tears in his eyes.

so how exactly was the surgeon neglegent?

every surgery is a risk, up to and including death. does the benefits of the surgury out weigh the risk
