Nandee Willets is currently the only one who has filed papers for the vacant selectman's seat and this greatly concerns me as the election is fast approaching on April 25th. What concerns me so much is that in my dealings with her she has been the most stubborn and inflexible person I have ever dealt with, these are not the traits you would want in a selectman. Please, Please someone else run for this open seat!

Re: As candidate for selectman, I believe she is fair and honest. As for the other blog comments, if the person has such beliefs why don't they reveal their name. Ms Willets has her # posted at her house. She can be reached anytime.

Read or re-read "Terms of Service"....Topix is what it is...
"Free exchange of views and opinions"....it does not specify
giving personal information.

My view/opinion is just that.

I know exactly what Nandee has done for kids. Just ask them. I've seen how she treats them when there are no parents around. Her character is certainly questionable. There is nothing kind or caring about her with the exception of how she treats her animals. Stubborn and inflexible are kind words. I'd sooner vote for Hitler.

I do see how Nandee treats kids when their parents aren't around, because I spent a year and a half cleaning the pens, at all different times of the week. She is strict and firm in her expectations that kids be courteous to her, to each other, and to other people at the barn. She expects them to think ahead and use common sense, which makes sense when you're dealing with big, unpredictable animals. She can be very tough on kids if she thinks they are not taking their work or her guidance seriously, but it's not about her--it's about teaching them to take responsibility for their behavior, pay attention, and grow up. She doesn't believe in handling kids' feelings as if they are made of glass--and doesn't expect adults to do that with her, either. So I'm sure she can handle these comments, and whatever she would get as a working selectman.

With Nandee, what you see is what you get. There will be no questions about what her opinion is on a matter. Just ask her!

She's obviously put on a show for you too. Children DO need gentler handling; especially the special needs children. WAKE UP! OR JUST ASK THE CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS WHAT THEIR EXPERIENCES HAVE BEEN!!!

anyone who makes comments about a person as the "unnamed" person did should not be taken seriously as she or he doesn't even have the integrity to post their name. Nandee has to be strict ! When you have kids and horses everyone has to pay attention and be resposible or there will be a disaster and anyone familiar with these animals knows that. Obviously this person that is speaking badly of Nandee is a "city folk" with no clue and so are their little prissy kids that you can't look at sideways grow up. Nandee was involved with 4H and so was I and my girls, and she has always been fair and strict and the the way it needs to be she would be a great selectperson and not do any butt kissing and tha's what needed.

Sounds like a real bridge-builder; or should I say barn-builder? "city folk"? "little prissy kids"?...Is this a joke? THIS HAS TO BE A JOKE!!!! I guess if the voters of the Town of Pepperell are looking for a stubborn, self-important cook who believes the rules do not apply to her, than this is your candidate! YEEESH!!!!!
