Writer 23 said that it was the Human Resources person and Writer 55 said it was JM. Guess you're right! And we've been stiffed again.

You bet. The district probably pays her tanning bill, too. Part of her health insurance, no doubt.

BTW - Are you sure you're not JM? You sure sound like him/her.
Yeah cocktail waitress. You are probably a stooge who works part time if you can get it, or still a moron. One or the other in either case you are very stupid.

Yeah, maybe HR's JM is working part time too.

What's done is done. I just hope that the new administrators are qualified educators who have had some classroom teaching experience at the secondary level and understand today's kids. Also, they should support and guide their staff; have some backbone and not bend to the whining, pampering parents. It's time that these kids get a taste of real life.

Most of them have an attitude of entitlement and you can see way down even in the 5-6-7 year olds. It's the parents' fault, especially the ones with money to burn. Ever see the cars, SUVs and trucks these kids are driving to school? BMWs, MBs, Volvos, Lexus. Puhleeze. If you can give them cars like this, then don't be complaining about public ed. You can afford to send them to the privates. You can't make a public HS into a private one. So stop expecting private school advantages.

You mean, of course, the "Curling" parents. Those ubiquitous, overprotective guardians running frantically alongside the sliding stones who are their children, desperately trying to sweep any debris, any obstacle that might impede their child's progress.

Hadn't heard that "Curling" term but I like it! Great definition too. I was thinking of the "Helicopter" parents who even follow their prince & princesses to college, trying to intervene as much as they can. What they're really doing is impeding the kids progress in school and life.

Bumps in life are a part of life. Let the kids deal with them and learn to cope. They'll be stronger for it.

Could you please elaborate? Do you mean by a change in administrators? Or do you mean that parents are being put in their places and told to butt out?

I am assuming the change in administrators because the higher-up dare not cross the parents. These "Curling" parents should simply let their kids learn some of life's lessons...take the bumps with the easy roads. If you want Rights, you've got to accept Responsibilities, period.
