If I am not mistaken, if two of the five elected selecmen sign the expense warrant, then the elected town clerk can sign, basically acting to complete a quorm

"The government is not intended as convenient," Erickson said. "I'm vehemently against it."

That's the same attitude that prohibits people from even trying to start a business in Groton, Town Government is NOT convenient.
Haddad knows the town can do better if the hacks just get out of his way and let him do his job.
Like that will ever happen in Groton.

The term "Town Manager" has bothered me for many years. It has bothered me because, for one of many reasons, I still believe in "for, of, by the people. Gradually it is becoming "the government"....and, ie "it is for their own good"...
Who is "their"...? I think of "their" as being my family rights. and, I say piffle.....

I didn't ask or request for a Town Manager, for my Town of Groton (for over 40 years)...... Just a "new-comer" But...it happened and is happening.

I think of those who might have been ridden "out of N.E.Towns" because of "Warnings Out"
in the 18th century, by the Town/Sheriff's because of their poverty .....Reverse could be
Warnings Out" for those who think they can move in and better/profit a960Groton, MA.
New England towns should and do have a pride .....it should not be changed or ruled by anyONE, But for, of, by . the "People":....NOT a Manager.......

I am also, one of those many New Englanders who are tired of those who move into our Historical little Towns..and proclaim, what can we do to change it"...!Make it better than what it is...? And, how can I/we profit. Again "Piffle".

The USA is new, comparatively. It appears to me to be going backwards in time. WE, "the people APPEAR" to be complacent in speaking our minds.

Just my thoughts.......
