Classic mismanagement, if not outright manipulation of another Town Meeting... The Selectmen did not know how to plan their time- unless they purposely stalled out such important (potentially contentious) issues as the sewer lines at Lost Lake and the continuing fire station debacle; to discourage voters from showing up to these things, by showing how much time can be spent getting nothing accomplished. Groton has been special for 350 yrs. Why should some blow-ins who probably won't be here in a few years run things that will impact our town forever, let alone run up such ridiculous bills when everyone else it tightening belts? Every voter should mark their calendar for the next meeting, 29 Oct. We can do this together.

I am an old Yankee and don't like to be pushed around. I keep having the feeling that these issues are being pushed down our throats. I remarked to a friend that it was like going to a car lot and having a sales person pushing me to buy. I leave the car lot, even if I had originally wanted to buy.
Yes, I attended last nights TM and will go the 29th.
