The family has no need to be afraid. The nut that confessed to the killing will have a detective walking around three feet behind him. And besides, the real killer is walking around WITH them.

With Stephen Grant, as soon as the body turned up in the park up the street, Stephen knew he was going to be charged. The evidence was overwhelming and he was found guilty. He still appealed.
In this case, they have the body, killing site and disposal site pretty much intact. Either they are still preparing the case or the evidence is too weak. Big Bobb did more prep work than Grant. The prosecutor may be hoping time and new cases put this one in the background so it can go cold like others. I think she has to charge someone on this crime. Bobb is well lawyered up. The prosecutor has to have her ducks in a row or Griem will make duck foie gras.
