the editor reporter should be a little more careful about his headlines. The Nun did not "cuss" at the kids, she read a list of banned words. there is a difference from cussing at someone and reading

WONDERFUL!!! Some kids when you tell them not to talk ugly don't really know the difference because they hear it in everyday language. I'm thrilled that she told them exactly what was ugly and not to say those things.

Way to Go! Tell them that swearing is usually to result of a limited intellect, and vocabulary. In other words you couldn't think of anything smarter to say? Doesn't make one look any more grown up, just ignorant. I'll try to remember that the next time I hit my thumb with a hammer or something... Gosh Dang It!

I agree. That is their way of getting your attention to read the article. It obviously worked for both of us.

You are right, Curses word do make people look ignorant. But sometimes nothing caps off the end or beginning of a sentence like one...especially when used correctly..
example: someone owes you money and they have been dippin and dodging you..and you are talkin to someone about the situation...
you can say "Jack owes me 200 dollars, and I am mad"
but this sounds more how you feel..
"That m*th*rf**ck*r Jack owes me a M*th*rf**ck*n 200 dollar and that M*th*rf**ck*r got me P*ss*d the H*11 off.

Good for her! Now the kids can't use any excuses for not knowing any better.

Feeling like it or thinking it is one thing... the ability to resist or refrain.. that's the hard part. That's what makes it difficult. Ever have a conversation with someone who has a three word vocabulary... "MF, You know what I mean and Sh__t",?? Some people never get it.

I think that was a wonderful thing for her to do with the kids, and maybe that will help them from using those words. Good job!!

Agreed! If their parents would have had this conversation with them, the NUN wouldn't have to!

This is a great article i believe what sister Avery did was necessary because it is true tha most kids do not understand the words they are saying they just use it because they have heard someone close to them use those same words.
I agree

It got my attention also. How many people would have read the article if it stated "Nun forbids Cussing."

I did the same thing with my kids but did not have the nerve to include the "F" word. I should have - my little one said it one day and when I flipped out on him he repeated all the bad words not aloud to say reminding me that I never said that one. So if your going to do it - say'em all. I was stupid enough to think he would never hear it!!?!

And let me guess, you then sang Kumbaya and everything was ok. Next time loosen your tin foil hat.
