Taste travels, Chef LaPerriere cooks up and in Tuscany
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-Saugatuck, Michigan (FPR) Feb 2009- Chef Jim LaPerriere’s "culinary adventures" will travel to Tuscany and the search is on for a select few to join him. The popular chef is sure to sell out!
Chef Jim LaPerriere has joined forces with Villas and Vines to produce a fresh look at Tuscan food and wine. The tour will be during the Italian harvest season, October 11-17, 2009. According to Chef Jim,“the intimate tour will be a fantastic week of cooking lessons, wine tastings, sightseeing, and exploring all the rich culture of this beautiful region. In Tuscany, the wines are treasured and the food is extraordinary. I've been 'sogno dell' Italia'(dreaming of Italy) in preparation for this trip."
The trip will include hands on cooking lessons in bucolic settings, visits to the local markets, regional wine tastings, and private guided tours of the most scenic villages in Tuscany. "I'll be leading the culinary portion of this tour with the experts from Villas and Vines, with over 13 years of experience of leading food and wine excursions in Europe. Villas and Vines has established relationships with the best of Tuscany, including the finest restaurants and local residents who will share their "secrets" of the region.
The tour begins and ends in Florence, Italy and the week includes 3 nights in the historic and beautiful city of Siena, followed by, 3 nights in the medieval hilltop village surrounded by vineyards, Castellina-in-Chianti.

Jim LaPerriere graduated first in his class at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
