Wayne County news briefs: Ex-cop gets probation in ticket-fixing scheme

A former Dearborn police officer was sentenced Tuesday to 4 years of probation in Wayne County Circuit Court and ordered to pay $42,000 in restitution for a ticket-fixing scheme.

Here were two people involved in conspiracy to extort and extortion of money from citizens. The officer is guilty of criminal misconduct over a long period of time. Both parties go home free. And beyond that, how many of the original tickets were bogus to begin with?
