I spent many summers on that boat as a child. I would love to help with this project.

The City of Detroit is run by corruption, 3 million manufacturing jobs have gone overseas, The big 3 are downsizing, property taxes and taxes overall are out of control, healthcare is run by corporate greed, and the Boblo boat is gonna sail again?? We have been hearing that since '94 and no boat yet. The last one in Michigan turn the lights out on the way across the Ohio border

Believe it or not, my family used to own Bob-Lo. My father was Vice-President for 30 years. We went and saw the Ste Claire when she was anchored in River Rouge last year. They have done some work on her but there is much more to go. Anyway, I would love to see either of the Bob-Lo boats cruising the Detroit River again...

I had some great trips on that boat and always thought it was magical to have a great boat trip followed by a day of picnics and the amusement park. Looking forward to seeing my friend Ron restore and resail this ship. Darren Lossia

At the reunion last August on the Ste Claire, I personally met several of the volunteers. In my opinion, these are all dedicated men and women alike.
As an old crew member in the very early 1940's it was a wonderful thrill for me to get aboard the old girl. She is still in bad shape but the volunteers are working hard to get her back to look like new.
Keep up the good work gang and I'll be there to celebrate her 100th birthday. Don
