So sorry to hear of your loss. The same situation happened in our family in 1999. My nephew was missing for 5 weeks, but had the same disappointing outcome. Our family is located in southwestern Iowa. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Cry me a river. Why won't the press release what he died from. Why he walked to the old dairy building in the first place. Young men die everyday, everywhere. This mans death was due to his own stupidity. Next story please.........

Wow "U nut cases" from Marshalltown, you have no sympathy and just want answers. Answers take time, and who even said that he walked there in the first place and was 'due to his own stupidity'. If you even KNEW Jon you wouldn't ever think it was from his own doing. Did you ever think that the press doesn't even know how he died? There are certain rules and regulations law enforcement have to go through before throwing out a story. Try not to be so insensitive next time, his family and friends (which include me) read this and they don't need people like you to break them down even more.

I Physicaly do not know Jonithan Lacina..

But Due to the news Media.. I know of Him.

Jonithan Lacina was last seen Jan. 22nd 2010. He was leaving 300 Stanton Ave. at approximately 9:30 p.m. His father, Tom, reported him missing to ISU Police Jan. 31st 2010

I have been praying since he was reported missing that he would be brought home safe.
I had created a Facebook Group for him not knowing at the time there was already a group created after being interviewed by KCCI and being on the News. I was asked by the creater from the other Group to remove mine since I didn't know jon. I agreed and removed my group.

On March 31st before I left for my trip to Florida to see my kids. I had prayed that when I returned there would be answers so Jon's familie can have closure. I returned April 14th at 12:30am on April 14th 8:30pm they had found Jon's Body.

As we know now He has been found just not the way all of us has prayed and hoped for.

Some one may know him or maybe have seen him and didnít know he was missing.

Jonithan Lacina was found on 04-14-2010. Please continue to pray for the loss of this loved one..

As any of us that have ever lost a loved one. You know how difficult this must be for Jonithans Family..And His friends...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and our community. The news is troubling and devastating. To those who have offered peace and prayers...Good for you! To "U Nut Case" wanting all the facts... what an irony that you would make comments about Jon when you don't know any facts about him or his disappearance. Shall we "Assume" you're an insensitive human because of your post or should we give you the benefit of the doubt and sum it up as impatiently curious? I'm amazed by your insensitive post and the irony in "getting the facts".
God Bless the Lacina's.

First of all I hope God has mercy on "U Nut Case". We should never jump to conclusions. I am certain the police are doing everything they can to find out what happened to Jon. I have been praying every single day for Jon & his family. May Jon rest in peace, & may God's promise bring comfort to the Lacina family & rest of us who mourn his death in this time of great sorrow. Just remember, Jon is not gone, just away.

Why pay so much attention to one negative comment when YOU know this is said only for attention.

My heart felt condolences to the Lacina Family. What a tragic ending to such a promising life. Many of us are curious why Jon's life was cut short but regardless, it is so very sad.

Please stop giving this person the ATTENTION they so desperately seek. That IS their point to posting-people who do not do positive things lack attention and act out negatively because any attention is better than none. Very sad.

What an insensitive person you are!!Thank God there are more of us that care about what happens to others and offer heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Jon. Jon is gone and who are you to judge anyone. Hopefully you grow up before the ultimate judgement of you!!
