I wonder if they can take pictures and put on face book for people to see the dogs. Might help in the adoption process.

Why are all these dogs males? Clearly the breader has male and female dogs. Why did they only release the males?
This situation makes me sick!

Because if they can't sell the male dogs, they put them to sleep after they are a year old! Thats how I got mine! They were a year old..and they were going to put them to sleep since they couldnt sell them! Sick huh!

That's what I was thinking, because male puppies are harder to sell, BUT these dogs are 6-8 years old! I wish there was more info here. Can a kennel (ahem..puppymill) continue to legaly operate after
surrendering this many animals. Sick!

I work at the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and they are actually mostly females with a few males.

Why do you blame the breeders when it's people wanting pups who pass over the males pups? Why exactly are they suddenly more desirable if they are in a shelter? They are the same dogs in shelter they were with the breeders. The only difference MIGHT be that if you had gotten it from the breeder in the first place, chances are you probably would have gotten a health guarantee that you don't get from the shelter. The same goes for retired females. Breeders try to rehome them at 6 years old while they are still young enough to be pets for several more years.
It makes no sense that being turned over to shelter would make a dog/pup more desirable than if you got it from the breeder. Much less chance they have been exposed to parvo or distemper at the kennel. Usually older pups and retired breeding dogs are homed for the cost of having them spayed or neutered.

I didn't think Wolf Point was still there. We used to live in Ackworth when they were there and they moved before we did. Did they move somewhere else on hwy 92?

They are right before you get to Shady Oaks on the right hand side of the road, going East. They are still there. We just rescued 2 dogs from there back in August. ITS AWFUL!!!!
