Am sure if the pet was cared for the owner must have loved it, personally, better cared for and love while alive then treated like crap and a big deal over burial. See the trees through the forest as they say. Oh, I love dogs and have a chihuahua

It's too bad they couldn't have just buried it in their yard. It makes me sad to think that some people think their pets are just plain old throw away trash when they die.

It may have been poor judgement to throw a dead dog and its kennel in a dumpster, but since the ground has been snow and ice covered, it may have been the easier choice rather than keeping the dog until the ground thaws. And I know I don't have money to have a dog buried in a pet cemetary or cremated.

I would have laid him out in a nice place in the trees. Back to nature.

It's just another sign of our tough economy. The owners were probably heart broken over their pet ,but didn't have the funds to do a burial or cremation. We had a large dog that died and it was around $60 to have him cremated.
Let's not be so quick to think the worst of peaple in these hard times, sometimes we have to, but hate to lower our standards in order to maintain.
I also do agree that our legal system could make better use of their manpower and resources to help the living.

Why do you supposed the dog owner's son, age approx. 8, told a friend on his school bus that his mother killed the dog because it wouldn't stop barking???????

Do we really think an 8 yr. old can make up a story like this?
