Well im glad they did of course. But why did eric and dylan randomly choose to stop killing and commit suicide. Surely they would have wanted to continue the massacre, as they could have at least trippled the death toll.

Why did they just give up??

They walked past endless rooms full of hiding students but seemed more interested in thrownig thier bombs around.

It's almost as if they coudnt be bothered to kill more, but quotes from the basement tapes prove they were set out on getting a death toll as high as possible.

If you read their journals and watched their tapes. They already wanted to die. They just wanted to leave some sort of lasting impression by sending a message. I don't think it did much good, if anything the violence in this world got worse after columbine.

I think maybe killing the students was much harder than talking about it. I like to think that maybe they had guilt, when shooting, which made the death toll 13, instead of 130, or some ridiculous number.
It gives me hope that maybe there was some form of humanity growing inside them, and as they realised their bombs were failing, and how hard it was to kill people, they felt guilt, and ended it there,
i'm probably wrong, but like i said, this is simply just what I like to think.

What about a "law" that stops harrasment and bullying and ostracizing by the "jocks" and "cheerleader-types?"

Agreed!!! There is a reason why these are usually the first "targeted."

I think this info is from DylanKlebold.com or somethin, to give you a possible answer: They felt bad about failing with the bombs (wouldn't you be after all that work?), so they went around shooting. A lot of people were wounded badly, which may have made them think they killed many more than they really did. Plus, Eric and Dylan finally experienced total control and power over the world. Not surprised they enjoyed the power, and started just enjoying it rather than really setting out to kill.(In their case it was moreso about enjoying the power). And according to one of the official documents multiple people heard someone (probably Dylan) say "I wanna die today." Still, weird how Eric killed himself first.

After Eric Harris broke his nose from the recoil on the sawed off shot gun, he because bored. He was was over heard by the student that dylan let go say, "This isn't fun any more." and Dylan said maybe they should start knifing people

Just watched a Columbine documentary on Youtube and personally at my school in a small town in Texas there was a shooting done in 1997 when I was 17. It was about 2 days before the last day of school and graduation in June 1997. I heard rattling gunshots from an AK-47 and about 3 students were firing at random.

Literally the sound of constant gun fire surrounding me was unbearable and it lasted about 20 minutes in the hall many were wounded and killed in the hallways about 5 died and 8 were wounded. I was evacuated and saw many dead students. In my town everyone owned a gun probably about 70-80% of all residents. I heard gunfire a lot as a result often walking by shooting ranges.

It didn't traumatize me but it certainly showed me how dangerous guns can be in the hands of the wrong people.
