that's because they in such a rush to beat all the other news sites to the story...they don't proof read. hey 9news, hire me to proof read your stories! i'll make sure you make sure you don't repeat you'reselves or use the wrong words!:)
Maybe you need someone to proofread your comments. Capital letters are your friend. As is the space bar. As is knowing the difference between "your" and "you're".

Where were these people 15 years ago when I was pushing my Mustang out of rush hour traffic, almost daily, wishing someone would help me?
This just goes to prove that there are still a lot of trusting people out there, they should do some research before giving up their hard earned money.
And who forced you to buy a Ford.

You're right -- 9News should exhibit professional journalism standards, above that of a literature classroom. After all, they are supposed to be professionals.
This is a quickly-prepared website news story. Of course there will be typos and grammatical errors. BFD.

People in general tend to be easy going and trusting or others. Bad decisions on their part - definitely too trusting, but I doubt most of these people are 'stupid'. Go a bit easier on them. These are the same types who will pull over and offer assistance when they see you and your family standing by the roadside next to your broken down car.
Kind hearted =/= smart with money. Often times they're complete opposites. They think they're helping a good cause (like the Nigerian thing I mentioned in my earlier post) and wham they're wiped clean.

These people prey on the kind hearted because they know they'd give their last nickel to help someone else. They're the most gulliable to fall to this sort of scheme. Maybe "stupid" is the wrong word to describe them. "Foolish" is much more accurate.

Come on people! If you are putting down a deposit on a rental home aren't those transactions usually done AT THE RENTAL PROPERTY OR AT THE BROKER'S OFFICE? I wouldn't meet a new landlord/RE Broker in a coffee shop or restaurant. If they are legit they will have an office! And if the property is vacant I sure like to view it one more time before plunking down my $$$$!

9News writer uses "were" instead of "where" in first line of story. I may be nitpicking, but I see this kind of thing way too much.
Thank God that bugs someone else! I'm getting so tired of phonetics getting in the way of the written word. This whole "leave no child behind thing" is going to bite us all in the butt.

Oops - too bad about the people getting scammed, but who the hell forks over a check without actually seeing an apartment? In a Starbucks, no less? Hmmm... Maybe the Starbucks is in on it...

Curiouser and Curiouser...(and that's from classic literature, so nobody give me crap about using a non-existent word!)
