" Lyon says an initial investigation indicated the fire may have started in a computer closet "

The downside to the XCEL low voltage power. EVERYTHING runs hotter, including any cooling units and anything with a motor. Start your search for causes there. There will be more as long as XCEL keeps playing with voltage levels.

Could have just been an overheating server. You don't know that it was Xcel's fault.

If it's an overheated server, it still is XCEL'S fault.

EVERYTHING is strained when XCEL plays games with power; after all this is the ultimate power trip.

Apply Occam's Razor; the XCEL people created this problem by playing with lower voltages; the weakest link power substation blew and we were having lowered voltages across the grid days before. The XCEL toad that came out said that it was just my wiring causing the LV alarms to trip. Two hours later, that substation blew.

To the XCEL toad: It's kinda hard to have unbalanced lines when the UPS setup is wired for 220VAC in a residential area...
