Dr. Rafique

I'd like to hear opinions on Dr. Rafique from people here who have been treated by Dr. Rafique or had family, friends, etc. treated by him. I want to know what you think of his care, both medically and ethically. I would appreciate any and all comments. Your opinions really matter. Thanks.

I am not a fan of this doctor. He has been treating my mother for lymphoma and he is not caring for her the way he should. He is not communicative, he is quite vague, mostly absent, his clinic is run by his overworked staff, he seems unprepared to talk with my mother when he does bother to see her--most of her appointments come and go without seeing the doctor. He claims to not have her records from her Jackson-based surgeon and oncologist although may family and I have verified that all records have been sent at least twice. My mother has no clear picture of her status and I think Dr. Rafique is in for the money.

The description above is accurate. Have worked wih this dr and his bedside manner has a lot to be desired. In his particular field of medicine I believe it is particularly important to be caring, kind, and respectful. I have seen this Dr avoid patients and families. So while he is perfectly capable in his medical expertise this does not make up for his profound disrespect for his patients. You can find other oncologist elsewhere that would leave you more satisfied.
