Delta best site for museum
The Delta is an excellent location for the state's civil rights museum . Delta legislators support economic development projects all over the state, then ask why the Delta never seems to get its turn.

Because the delta is the asshole of the state to begin with. No one wants to go to the area and those that do have to go there are only in route to another location. Maybe instead of thinking of it as " their turn" maybe they should stop to think how they would fund it or why they deserve a museum in such a backwards part of the state.
Most the Delta is on welfare as it is and the area still has a long way to go before it could be considered an area that has overcome its racial past. Most of the schools are still segregated and even the college at DSU helps to keep the High Schools segregated in the delta. This museum should really go to a place that has moved ahead and can have the infrastructure already & tax base to help support it. Other wise it will be as sad and un-used as most other places in the delta are today.
