I just found out that the Browns are suing Mayor Gabbard because of all the exream stress he has put on them since becoming mayor, their life has become unbearable.
Excuse me, have you gone to the council meetings and seen the way the Browns treat the mayor?
In other words, they are suing the city for electing Del Mayor.
AC, take your crap and go back to Texas, Greenwood is too good for you.
#2 Aug 9, 2011
with the proper amount of respect to you Citizen the mayor does a good job of making a fool out of himself without help from anyone
#3 Aug 9, 2011
WHAT? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME? They have tried to badger and bullie the mayor for the last 8 months, and the mayor won't give in to their bullying tactics, and now they are suing and saying the mayor has put THEM under too much stress? Is this their last ditch effort to run the mayor out of town, what a bunch of whinny butts, kiss asses, and sissys.
And how much money did AC lose people in this latest stock market crash because of risky investments? I suppose that will all be the mayor's fault because the mayor has got him so stressed he just can't do his job right, what a cop-out.

Mr. Slick,(you must have a lot of hemoroid issues with a name like that), your opinion of "making a fool out of himself" is just that, your opinion, which are like assholes, everybody has one and they all stink.
Someone who is really a fool is a councilman who sues the mayor because the mayor won't give into to his demands and the result is the mayor is stressing the councilman out, what a wimp!

thats your opinion not mine

I read the paper this morning, didn't see anything in it about a lawsuit. Must be more gossip! Maybe it will be in the Greenwood Democrat tomorrow. Ha! All you have to do is sneeze and the people in this town swear you have the flu!!!!!
#7 Aug 9, 2011
I know for a fact that he has lost thousands for some elderly. It"s a shame a person would take advantage of the elderly.
#8 Aug 9, 2011
I expect this to hit sundays news paper, oh it's a fact alirght!
#9 Aug 9, 2011
Sorry to hear about the elderly and the thousands AC has lost for them, maybe they need to sue AC for stressing them out.
#10 Aug 9, 2011
What do you expect? They say they cut his fire pay, he is loosing thousands in his business.
He has to make up for the money somehow, so why not sue the city? Sorry piece of dog crap.
#11 Aug 9, 2011
there's a lot of stinking people around then, because there's many, many people that share that same opinion......
#13 Aug 9, 2011
Again, Mr. Brown has no desire to pursue any litigation against you. He wants the two of you to work together to move the City of Greenwood forward. He tells me that on issues unrelated to the fire department that you have actually worked well together on several matters. I am encouraged to hear that. Please understand that Mr. Brown's livelihood is wrapped up in his reputation in managing people's money. He cannot set by if false statements are made about a "fraud investigation" and leave them unaddressed.
Mr. Brown has asked me to provide a copy of this letter to the other members of the City Council. He believes that he has a duty to keep them informed of the nature of your relationship with him since it is so important that the Council have a good relationship with the mayor. Mr. Brown and I both wish you the best in service as mayor. Please do not hesitate to contact me or to have Mr. Mike Hamby contact me if you have any questions about this letter.
ec: A.C. Brown
Mike Hamby, Esq.
This thing is all over town - I think it was sent to too many people in the first place. It was sent to Mayor Del Gabbard, City of Greenwood. That makes it an official city document that anybody can issue an FOI for and verify it!!!!!!!
#14 Aug 9, 2011
"Mr. Brown does have a right under Arkansas law to view any documents that are part of your official files.
A few things I would like to comment on:
..."He chose to pursue those rights through me instead of making a request himself because he did not know the legal form to use in drawing up such a letter."
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WE HAVE A COUNCILMAN WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO FILE AN FOI? HIS LAWYERS WORDS - NOT MINE. TELL HIM TO CALL FORMER COUNCILMAN NEWCOMB, YOU KNOW THE ONE HE BEAT. HE CAN SHOW HIM HOW TO FILL ONE OUT, WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!
(2) Who wear the pant in the family
"I have also done everything that I can to discourage Mr. and Mrs. Kimberly Brown from pursuing any type of court action against you."
REALLY? MR. AND MRS. KIMBERLY BROWN? WHAT HAPPENED TO MR. AND MRS. AC BROWN? WHAT A LAUGH, EVEN THEIR LAWYER KNOWS WHO WEARS THE PANTS IN THAT FAMILY.
The Browns came to me again when Mr. Brown's honesty was attacked....."
VOTING ON MATTERS THAT DIRECTLY BENEFIT HIM DOESN'T MAKE ONE QUESTION HIS HONESTY AND REAL INTENT? GIVE ME A BREAK.
"Mr. Brown has recently lost a significant number of business clients. This has coincided with rumors around town that he has been investigated by Edward Jones for some sort of financial fraud."
HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT THIS COUNTRY IS FACING THE THIRD RECCESSION IN 4 YEARS? HOW ABOUT THE STOCK MARKET MINI CRASHES, HOUW ABOUT THE HIGH COST OF FUEL THAT HAS RAISED ALL COST OF GOODS AT LEAST 40%? HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF THE MARKET AND GETTING OUT? HAS THAT EVER CROSSED AC BROWNS MIND? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
(5} Verify, Verify, Verify
"However, they later came to me with the name of a witness who was prepared to testify that you showed him a letter in your office which you purported contained a statement from Edward Jones that they were investigating A.C. Brown for fraud."
TROY, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A TAPE RECODER? YOU BETTER MAKE THE BROWNS PROVE IT OR YOU'LL GET BIT ON THIS ONE.
(6) What's fair is fair
"Mr. Brown has asked me to provide a copy of this letter to the other members of the City Council."
I AM GLAD HE DID THAT, WE WILL SEE THAT THE OFFICIAL CITY DOCUMENT GETS TO ALL THE CITIZENS IN TOWN.

You know that blaming a broker for a recessive economy is like blaming a weatherman for a hurricane!!
And it's about time someone put newcomb-gabbard in his place......

I'm interested to know what more there is to it. If you have facts to back up AC knowingly putting elderly people in bad investments then I think the public should know about it. If not.....

OK, the took this off once, makes me wonder what they don't want the public to see, let's try again, remember to match it with page 2 above;

Mayor Del Gabbard
City of Greenwood
RE: A.C. Brown
Dear Mayor Gabbard:
Thank you for responding to my recent Freedom of Information Request on behalf of A.C. Brown. Mr. Brown has asked me to communicate to you that he has absolutely no interest in pursuing litigation against you. He believes that both of you can work better together for the City of Greenwood if you can put personal matters aside. Mr. Brown does have a right under Arkansas law to view any documents that are part of your official files.
He chose to pursue those rights through me instead of making a request himself because he did not know the legal form to use in drawing up such a letter. Again, please do not take Mr. Brown requesting information as any type of a threat of litigation. He wishes to do everything he can to avoid any embarrassment to the City of Greenwood.
I have also done everything that I can to discourage Mr. and Mrs. Kimberly Brown from pursuing any type of court action against you. They first came to me several months ago when some statements were made on the internet that credited sources as claiming that Mrs. Brown had stolen money from the City through Freedom Fest. At that time I discouraged them from pursuing any litigation or even writing a letter. They told me that everything they had heard was second or third hand and that even though people were attributing some of these statements to you they had no proof that the same was true. They wisely decided to let the issue die.
The Browns came to me again when Mr. Brown's honesty was attacked and some curse words had been used to describe Mrs. Brown. Again, some people around town were accrediting these statements to you. I informed the Browns at that time that whatever differences you had I believe that you are a Christian man and would not use the type of words that were being used. Again, they made the wise decision to let the issue die.
I would like for you to be aware of the circumstances that caused me to agree to write the Freedom of Information letter on their behalf. Mr. Brown has recently lost a significant number of business clients. This has coincided with rumors around town that he has been investigated by Edward Jones for some sort of financial fraud. Initially, I told the
Browns that they had no way to prove who initiated these statements and that the best they could do is try and get the truth out. However, they later came to me with the name of a witness who was prepared to testify that you showed him a letter in your office which you purported contained a statement from Edward Jones that they were investigating A.C. Brown for fraud. My advice to them was that if such a letter existed and contained a clear reflection of fraud investigation then that was something that Mr. Brown needs to pursue immediately with Edward Jones. On the other hand, if the letter did not contain any reference to a fraud investigation then I told the Browns that they would have every right to ask that you cease and desist from making such statements. We secured the letter and of course it makes no such reference. If in-fact you have never alleged that Mr. Brown was being investigated for fraud then there is really nothing to do. On the other hand, if you have been telling people that the letter contains a statement showing that Edward Jones is investigating Mr. Brown for fraud then you have a legal duty to cease and desist from making such statements. The letter plainly is a form letter issued when any type of complaint is made against an Edward Jones representative and does not reference a fraud investigation.
Take it off again- I put it on again!

Kim and Mr. Kim aren't suing anyone. Rest assured, if Troy Gatson thought there was one thing that the mayor had done that was actionable there would have already been lawsuits filed.
This is typical Kim Brown bullshit...let's try to bully someone into submission if they don't agree what what Ken Edwards tells us to think.
No wonder she supports lowlife Lance Terry in his reign of intimidation and power The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Personally, would let AC Brown balance my checkbook...maybe a history of bad investments and low returns on the few positive investments he has advised people on doesn't qualify as fraud, but they also don't make him the most respected moneychanger in the temple.
Mr. Kim Brown needs to grow a set.

ANY BROKER WORTH HIS INVESTMENT WIEGHT KNOWS HOW TO FOLLOW THE 5 KEY ECONOMIC SIGNS TO FORECAST THE POTENTIAL FUTURE ECONOMY, UNENPLOYMENT SWINGS, FLUXUATIONS IN DURABLE GOODS ORDERS, GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT, GROSS NATIONAL DEBT SWINGS AND s&p TOP 500 COMPANY DOWN SIZINGS, I'M NOT SURE AC UNDERSTANDS THAT. WHEN YOU HANDLE OTHER PEOPLES MONEY YOU ACT BEFORE THE PROBLEM, NOT RE-ACT AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED. AND YOU MOST CERTAINLY DON'T BLAME YOUR MISTAKES ON OTHERS.

Robert, you're not being very nice. What would John think?
