The is the most ridiculous opinion piece I've ever read. It makes no sense.

I understand it's tongue-in-cheek, but this facility does not exist to benefit the town, nor does it pretend to. Why should they?

Bernice needs to retire for good. And the Greenwich Times needs to be more selective about what/who it publishes.

Sometimes he is funny. This is a poor attempt at sarcastic humor. But I agree with his opinion. That self-serving private zoo is not only worthless to the Town, but could be a liability as well.

The zoo never pretended to be anything but self-serving, which is why this isn't funny and makes no sense. Most people are self-serving, businesses too. This only became an issue because of Travis the chimp. This place never broke any rules or caused any problems. There's no evidence that anyone has been put at risk. People who live in Greenwich need to get over being jealous of those who have more. Those with the means to satisfy exotic whims. As long as they pass inspections and are within the law - why whine about it?
