I live in a Poinsett Homes Community and was concerned as well after hearing all of the rumors...Today I went by the sales office and found out that they are closing five homes next week. That is a good sign!! I love my Poinsett Home and I hope everything will work out. I have met the owners and they are such wonderful people.

My guess is that they are all sold. It seems that someone has bought some if not all the unfinished houses in Twin Creeks and has started work on them. This has been within the last few days.

Does anyone know anything about who bought the unfinished houses and/or lots? I tried to find the auctions for the date on 10/08. I can not find anything for it.It'd be great that I can have some lead to continue the search. Help! Thanks.:)

Within a few weeks the Greenville ROD website will have updated the transfers and you will be able to see it there. If you want that info sooner you could call the ROD office or go there in person.

If Poinsett isn't in financial problems then why did portions of their subdivisions go to foreclosure?

Our HOA President (in a Poinsett subdivision) has complete control of the money. He has done an superbe job of managing the finances and cutting costs without losing services.

It took several people in our neighborhood getting together, hiring an attorney, and talking with HOA management for it to come out that we were indeed out of money. Most of our money last year was spent to pay the previous years dues. This happened under HOA management and Mrs. Rice's watch. She never told anyone here until most of the funds were gone and bill were beginning to pile up. At that point we tried to come together and do volunteer funding to keep the neighborhood afloat. The other week my community (Poinsett neighborhood) FINALLY got out from under HOA management. The things that our board found out over the last few months, about HOA management, are to numerous to list. I'll tell you this honestly though. If you can get your neighborhood out from Charline Rice you will come out further ahead. Never trust any quotes she gives you and double check her "relationship" with any vendors she gives you quotes from. She is known to let business go to her friends and family. We know for a fact that her sister gets pool contracts from her but we found out from another management company. Also, demand to see contracts. The last contract my community had was from 2004 or 05 for $400/ month with an automatic renewal built in. However, when that contract finally came to light we were being charged DOUBLE what the contract stated.

Be smart and work together to do what is best for you community and home values. Question everything!

PG, I hope everyone in your neighborhood is still handing in there. You may not remember me, its been a while since I last logged on here. I was building the brown house in PG, but it was never completed. After a long search, I finally found another home and having finally made a move. It was hard to handle Poinsett's demise, but I had to accept it and move on. Plantation Greene is a wonderful neighborhood and at some point it will be completed and a lovely place to live. I wish you all much happiness !

Yeah I remember you. I often think about you when I drive past the house you were building. Glad to hear you found somewhere that you are happy being.

Have you heard that we have a new builder? Mark III properties bought a bunch of the empty lots and some of the townhomes at the the foreclosure auction on Monday. It be showing up on the Greenville Master in Equity website by now. I'm happy that we've finally got something going on in here. We've got such a great neighborhood in such a wonderful location. Hopefully they'll get to building homes again and this neighborhood can finally start looking forward instead of trudging through the current muck! We've come a long way since this time last year.

Poinsett's demise was a sad thing for hundreds of people. This proves that life does go on.

God Bless!
