Open Mayor Seat
Borough of Greenville
125 Main Street
Greenville, PA 16125

Dear Council President Shipley:

Attached please find my resume submitted for your consideration in your efforts to fill the vacant mayor position.

The mayor of any borough in Pennsylvania is for the most part a ceremonial position. However there is great opportunity for the individual in that position to greatly benefit the community. The mayor should be the personification of local government to the community. His should be a unifying figure casting the vision created by council and unifying the community to move forward.

Throughout my career in government I have worked to create collaborative partnerships to leverage the resources of the local government to do great things. During my time in Greenville, I have worked with the Women's Action Group, the YMCA and their affiliates, the Boy Scouts and the Chamber of Commerce to facilitate their diverse agendas. The results of my efforts have been increasingly improved relationships and enhanced services to the Greenville community.

In addition, in my tenure with the Borough, I have sought opportunities to reach out to the Thiel Community seeking every chance to invite them to become part of the happenings in the Borough. In addition to living on campus, I work as an adjunct professor in the Environmental Sciences Department, have been involved in campus ministry, have created several internships for Thiel students and have developed strong relationships at all levels of the faculty, staff and student body.

Finally, I offer evidence of my ability to create a compelling vision and build grass roots support for implementing the visions by pointing to the recently completed Riverside Park Community Playground. I offer that I developed the vision, recruited the teasm, and took advantage of every opportunity to share the vision with employers, churches and civic groups throughout the community. The result speaks for itself.

Should council appoint me to serve the remainder of this term, I will immediately vacate my position of Director of Public Services.

Very Truly Yours,
Scott D. Graubard

Are you freaking kidding me?? This man's ego is beyond belief!! The BIBLE says to be modest and walk humbly with your GOD..There is nothing humble about this guy!! How would he support his family if he took the mayor's job?? Did Leathers give this man a big finder fee?? And why is it that we only heard of the one company instead of a couple so there could be an option for the community??

I think Mr. Graubard would make a good mayor..He is everywhere now and would serve the people greatly by kissing babies and schmoozing people.Unfortunately, that is not all you do..You go Mr.Graubard!!

I have dealt/worked with Mr.Graubard..He is everything people have said about him.Ask the guys that worked under him..He is good at accepting praise because he is an egotist. He also is good at pulling the wool over your eyes. Now,why don't you and the rest of your aliases go away!!!

If Mr.Graubard wanted the job of mayor so badly, why is he not running this time for the position? Something to think about..I just think he wanted to irritate people at that time.I could be wrong.

We need people like Graubard. Look what he did with the playground. Who else could have done that?
Funny thing about it is while all of you were beating Graubard up for wanting to take over and seeking all the credit, he was doing something great and pointing to the efforts of everyone who contributed. He always pointed to the work of Heathcote, stephens, Thiel, and Dave McClelland.
He never once that I can recall said look what I did, but always said look what Greenville did.
What have Heathcote and stephens and the rest done since?
Heathcoat and Stevens are doing the 175 anniversary celebration.

By the way - does anybody have a smoke?

School kids shouldn't be asked to design a playground. Why not ask 3rd graders to design roads, too. Who cares what kids want. That's the problem with this country. Way to make the park a gigantic joke.
