My first husband was a crossdresser. He wasn't gay at all. He just felt better and was more comfortable in womens clothes. I tolerated it for a good while even though I didn't care for it. It got to the point he wanted to spend more time dressed as Angela (his girly name) than as a man. I drew the line when he told our daughters about it and let them see him dressed as a woman. I guess what I wanted to say is not all crossdressers are gay or want to really be women. They just love the clothes and attention.

I see that Guy in a Skirt is marked as "spam" and "nuts". In a city this person would fit in. They may be looked at, but no one would pass much judgement.

Greenville? They pass unforgiven and non-removable judgement on everyone for every little "slight" that comes along.

I can't wait to move out of here in a year or so. This place treats people / animals so poorly. It's a PTSD pit of stupid self-pitty. That's my Greenville judgement about Greenville.

Selena, thanks for your post. I don't want to come off as hateful. I really do not judge people. My only problem was my husband allowing his wish to dress all the time take over our life. I was very angry when he involved our girls, they didn't need to know. I have absolutely no problem with anyone wearing anything they wish. I agree Greenville is sort of stuck in the past and tends to look at anyone who is 'different' like they are beneath them. This is 2013 folks not 1960.

@Selenalantis

It would be sad if you also left the forum. Voices of reason and tolerance are too few in this area.

cross dressing feels great. it is nice to find the very rare woman that appreciates it. I wore a nylon dress tucked in nylon sweats to a restaurant last nite. it felt nice. some stares , but the 50 something waitress commented was good to see a man wear rose print. most wouldn't have the guts!:>). left nice tip. it isn't that I want to be a woman; if I were, i'd be a lezbion cause I still love women body parts so much!:>)

I understand what you are saying. I really do. I just had a problem with my ex husband sneaking out dressed as a woman. He also let it take completely over in the bed room. Started out a couple times a week, which I did not mind. He just could not control it after a while. When he told the girls and let them see him as Angela I decided enough was enough. Good luck to you Marcia.

I was in Walmart very late the other night. I saw a large older man in white capris and a peach colored top. He had a black bra on that you could see through the top. I was tempted to compliment him but thought better of it. ;-)

Its strange how only people in small towns think this is an issue...

Most of the country and civilized nations are moving on to more important things.

decades ago, when women started stepping out of skirts and into pants / shorts, I'm sure people thought the same things as they do seeing men in skirts and ladies clothing.

these nuts should be Called out for what they are . Back years ago people who dress like this would be called exactly what they are perverted and unGodly . I still call them that . I wouldnt want anyone like that around my kids or grandkids and if i seen one of them go near my family id be calling the police . Sadly this old world has gone down the tubes heading straight for hell i hope these people get right with God before they die . Bible says it plain that in the last days people will be calling evil good and good evil thats exactly where we are . Lord help us all . Hell will be full of cross dressers and anyone who condones it

Jesus didnt wear dresses or womens apparel he was a man and was without sin . These perverts today wear womens underwear and womens clothes due to a perversion and evil spirit that they entertain all to feed there sexual deviant minds . There is a payday and if one doesnt repent and ask Jesus into there hearts they will be in hell wishing they had heeded the advice of a Christians concern and care about them . God never changes and his bible is the word of God and people of the world may change and accept this perversion but no True Christian ever will . the middle eastern men wouldnt agree with you about calling what they wear as womens dresses what they still wear in their countries today . They dont wear womens apparel never have in the last 5000 years or more

yes yes, ancient fairytales that people still believe in. Not everyone fits into your idea about the world, you have to give room for those who don't want to believe like you do. Else you'll end up getting crushed under the wheels of change.

No wont be crushed and wont be mixed up and wont miss out on eternity in Heaven . Keep believing like you do but sadly i can tell your miserable and unhappy and if you could only wake up before you miss out on a peace filled heart and life i pray you wake up before its too late . Fairy tales is believing that its normal to live in a perverted lifestyle and trying to force others to accept your homo ways and all along know deep in your heart that its not ok no matter how many times you say it

Just because someone crossdresses doesn't make them gay any more than you wearing pants makes you straight.

I often think that those who go around criticizing others for their "outside what's typical in Greenville" conduct or thought are afraid, deep down. Maybe it's the fear of change. Maybe it's seeing their beliefs being ignored by more and more people these days. Maybe because they see signs within themselves of what they put down in others. Psychiatrists call it transference, I recall.

In the past few decades we've had some great role models of Xtianity like Jim Banker, Jimmy Swaggers, Mel Hagerty(sp?) and others.

Jesus never said anything about this, did he? Something to think about.

I would like to say that the vast majority of male crossdressers are not gay. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay at all. I have been dressing as a woman for a long time. I do it because that is how I feel best at this stage of my life. I go about anywhere now as Tammy and have not had much of a problem at all. I have had a few men who seem to feel threatened by me in a skirt but most people are great. I have made friends with a few of the ladies at Walmart. They are awesome people. Just wanted to share my thoughts. By the way. I do not want to be a woman. I simply enjoy dressing as one. If you see me out and about please feel free to say hi. Tammy
