To all Greenville residents who owe back taxes. According to Kelly Collins the Town Administrator there are 35 of us that are planning to loose our home due to deliquent taxes. I agree it is not the towns fault it is ours. In stating that fact I requested to try and work out a payment plan to get this up to date. My response was borrow from a friend or relative and make the payment plan with them. Okay, lets get real if we could borrow the money then we would have. In this economy who has the money to loan even if they wanted to. I feel this is outrageous. I have written to Govenor Lynn asking him what can be done about this. We need to stick together and all do the same. Write to the Govenor's office and with everyone doing this maybe something can be done. I know other towns in NH do payment plans. Why is Greenville not giving us a chance. Also, maybe if they take the interest off it would bring it down some it will be more affordable. I am not asking for the to forgive the debt just help with trying to figure out how I can save my home. Greenville states it is owed $170,000 in back property taxes. If they take our homes they will still be owed that and have lots of homes to try and sell in this economy I do not think that Greenville is one of the top 10 places to live in NH so they are going to have empty homes and still get no tax money. I am hoping that Greenville residents like myself are willing to fight for their home. Write letters contact the Town Hall and if no positive results come out of this then the News station will be called. But I cannot do this alone I need all deliquent tax payers to do their share. If not we all loose our homes. Plus, their will be an election coming and this will be the time to think about if we have the right town officials in office.
