The Falkland Islands constitution means that all oil revenues go to the self-governing Islanders. The Argentines propose to use revenues to subsidise the Argentine state. The Argentine claims are strictly forbidden under the UN Charter and under UN Resolution 1514.

After 180 years of separate development in the Falklands, Clause 1 of Resolution 1514 applies:

"The subjection of peoples to alien subjugation, domination and exploitation constitutes a denial of fundamental human rights."

To circumvent this resolution the Argentines justify neo-colonialism by rejecting the rights of the islanders entirely claiming that they have no right to exist. This is laughable.

Let us not forget that in 2007, Nestor Kirchner voided a 1995 oil and gas exploration agreement with the UK.

Oil and Gas Section:

FIH up on improved results and bullish outlook.

'Argentina will take legal action at home and abroad against any oil exploration off the Malvinas Islands.' Hector Timerman 15th March 2012.

Dear Hector, you must try harder because at the moment, you are failing miserably.

Proof that Cameron lied over oil find in the Falkland Islands

Massive Fraud Fake Oil Companies No Oil or Gas

Oil resources in the Falkland Islands, a British territory claimed by Argentina, are insufficient to be profitable, an ExxonMobil Corp (XOM.N) executive said, leaked U.S. documents show.

The cable from the U.S. Embassy in London was dated February 2010 and was about a new oil drilling effort then starting in the Falklands and a resulting rise in tension between Britain and Argentina.

"ExxonMobil International Chairman Brad Corson told us he does not believe there is enough oil on the Falkland Islands Continental Shelf to be profitable, citing Shell's earlier oil exploration attempts which they abandoned," the cable read.

Malv,

here's the latest link so you can keep right up to date with Falklands Oil and Gas news.

Pity that Nestor Kirchner voided that oil and gas deal back in 2007?

How's dear old Hector Simpleton doing with his legal action against oil and gas firms 'legally' drilling in Falkland waters?
