NC's bad national reputation affect the economy in WNC and Macon County?

We are worried about what's happening in this state and region. Is Franklin still a place for retirees? Or is it too risky for investing in a home here?

Every day our poor old state drops lower and lower in the eyes of the nation. Why did we ever elect those idiots? You learn too late I guess. The idiot party won BIG in Macon County which tells you a lot about the idiots who live there. I'm glad my children got out when they could.

And now NC has screwed the residents again with cutting of unemployment benefits. Yes, there will always be people who game the system, but that is no reason to punish people who've worked hard and hit bad times through no fault of their own.
