Who do you support for District Attorney 11 in Mississippi (Bolivar County) in 2010?

Just a better person. It's that simple. If you want to talk about everything else, well she an easy pick.

Better person for what reason? I came across this and thought "I guess no qualifications are needed for Big Dan?" I am disappointed. A person that has only been an attorney since Fall of 2005, with barely 5 years experience, with three different last names, worked in different places in those 5 years,
vs. someone that has been an attorney since 1992, worked in same district attorney's office she was running for district attorney for, and had worked in for 15 to 16 years, has tried capital cases, can empathize with crime victims...etc. really?
A statement made by you intended to support, but by leaving details of why you support her, you leave more questions than answers. I can respect an educated vote, but don't tell people to vote for someone "just because".

I was just recently on a jury, this person you are speaking of almost let a rapist go because of her incompetence. There is your "just because". I really wish you would give me justification for reading what you wrote. I can clearly see that you are uninformed and biased so I need to know more to qualify you. Give me a call.

You bluff and still don't "qualify" yourself. As a public forum, I need not qualify myself to you.
Check the docket. Anyone that wants to check you can just check the docket as far as your claim. The docket is public record.

Seriously, I comment only because I hate people telling people who to vote for yet not explaining. It gives appearance that people vote not on qualifications, but for other reasons which are not in the best interest of the community.

Also, if you had recently served on a jury, you know that Carol Turner did not and does not work in the circuit so you know no more about her abilities or inabilities to try cases. For that, you can check the docket where she tries cases. Just saying. For instance,(1) experience trying capital murder cases where the death penalty was involved,(2) tried heinous crimes where (1) victim's body not found (Fannings), gang violence, and not just drug crimes.

Aside from how you might read this, Carol is all right. But as a citizen affected by the follow through on law enforcement work and ability to try with experience, I had my concerns with her lack of experience. Not supporting Carol is not personal as you might suggest by your post. Rather, I challenged you for fair discussion just harkening back to your reasons. She's not a bad kid. But she's only that - a kid on a learning curve with trial experience to gain.

check the docket? I could care less. And that would accomplish? Well I know what you wanted to do was intimidate, it didn't. You wanted to prove that you can find out who I am? Ask me.

Talking about the record of trials, what tried, etc. A little sensitive.

Just came across this but wish I had sooner. Carol has tried capital cases...thank you. Also, most elected District Attorneys in this state have never prosecuted prior to being elected and that is a fact because it is an elected position. Carol had experience as a prosecutor and private attorney prior to this election and was well qualified. BC of the rant regarding types of trials that BM had tried, it's obvious who posted..lol
