Absolutley a disgrace that small children without coats, food, chairs, buses have to spend 3 to 4 hours on the ground. The board members are crying about todd all the time when they should be spending money and time on the kids!. I know the state police takes total charge even over the superintendent in a situation like that but i think its piss poor! If the state police doesnt have a better plan than stand ten foot from builing, freeze and dont eat, then something needs to be done! I seen on trooper choke on his words when a cell phone recorder got brought out! What if it was 15 degrees or pouring rain? Gurss they stand under troopers hats because evidently nithin inside of them

Cell phones in the vicinity of a bomb threat should ALWAYS be turned OFF.

The police and everybody did great. They can only do with what they got. Some police were taking off their jackets and giving them to kids. I'm glad to see our police helping out. Parents need to see that our police did everything right.

The guy that started recording was a complete idiot! I know, I was there! There was nothing else the cops could've done. Their not the ones to make the call to let the kids go home! The only thing I would've done different is knock the crap out of the little BOY that started recording. There was no sense in that. All it was, was a show for everyone standing there. Can promise his attitude wouldn't have been that big if there wasn't a crowd. Lol
just my opinion

spare the rod spoil the child... well aparently a lot of this is going on for gernerations! just maybe if these parents would lay down the law these kids wouldnt think its so funny, cute and, a easy way to get out of class. punish the whole muhlenberg county school system and slap a extra day on for these kids and and if they know who made the threat and the child isnt old enough for punsihment press the charges on the parents!!!

I don't understand why we don't have security guard and metal detectors in our schools ? We have them in banks , malls , court house , is our kids not important enough? If parents would keep there kids at home until something is done about it, they would have to put all of us in jail or loose a lot of money for our kids not being there, and then maybe they up security before its to late.

They need to send the kids home when there is a bomb threat. It takes 3 to 4 hours before they determine if the school is safe or not. Then they wont be cold or hungry & they will be safe with there parents.

I think they should make the student/parent pay all the cops, fire dept and whomever else that is involved in searching the schools! I also think they should tack on a ridiculous fine- say maybe 10,000 for all the trouble it causes!! Then and only then will the students think about what they are doing!! Slapping them on wrist and threatening them is obviously not working!

If a slap on the wrist and a trip to juvy/jail doesn't get it in their heads, neither will paying money.

If they make the kid WORK off the money it may help! They need to try something different! Whatever they are doing now is not working! Apparently these kids have no idea how serious a felony is. If the court system puts them in juvy only allowing them out to work (picking up trash off side of road) then locks them up every evening with NO phones, NO computers, NO tv and only allows a daily cal to the parents it may make a difference. These kids need tough love! They don't need to be thrown in a room with tv, computers etc. inmates are guaranteed medical and hot meals- wish the same could be said for our elderly. We are teaching our children to be criminals and they can sit back and let society work their a$$ off while they kick back and enjoy the ride! Work their a$$e$ off!!

Ive never been to a mall or bank with metal detectors. And security at schools wont stop bomb threats.

I wonder if proper training is being utilized throughout the year so students realize the seriousness of the crime and the punishment. It needs to be on a routine assembly basis, at least once a quarter. If they are already doing that then great, but if they are not, shame on management. I am sure we have enough police officers that would be willing to speak to keep the schedule going.

So funny that people look for everyone else to blame other than the person that did this. I believe everyone from the State Police to Ems to the School did an amazing job and I for one am thankful to them. Listen guys I know some of you like to just run your mouths and get things going...grow up okay.

i can agree with some things and disagree with others. the first thing the cops dont want to do anything but get their face in the paper or on tv . basiclly say look at me i have a badge and i am on tv bs right. my 2 kids were at the elementry school i was scared to death. i asked if the threat was in the middle school why were the elemtry school kids being held.the bomb wasnt in there school,we got a call from the school saying there was a threat and you can come pick up your kids, hell we left without any thought.we got there and you couldnt get near the school.but what ticked me off is when the school officals were able to get their kids and leave, teachers just so happend to miss school yesterday and oops there kid missed to.so explain this someone.dale todd wouldnt come out of his office and meet with the scared parents he was to busy hideing in the school. so someone help me understand some of this please.. voice your thoughts say whats on your mind

the court house has metal detectors and a lot of schools every where else, and clear backpack , banks and malls have security guards, if u have never seen that u need to get out more because they do. I'm not just talking about trying to stop bomb threats but gun and knifes too.
